Any con icts between locations of proposed planting and site utilities or lighting to be called to the attention of the Landscape Architect. 2. All planting areas to be free of all deleterious materials and weeds prior to planting. Use no chemicals. 3. All planting areas to be tilled so that the soil is loose and not compacted. Loosen soil to a minimum depth of 3". 4. Prepare hole back ll material by using one part existing soil (or approved topsoil) to one-part nitrolized r shavings or nitrolized 1'2" minimum r bark. Thoroughly mix this combination before back lling, fertilize with 6-20-20 at the rate of 2#/C.Y. After planting, apply ammonium sulfate (210-0) at the rate of 5#/1000 SF. to all planting areas. 5. Use triangular spacing when placing plants. 6. Place top of rootball 1" above surrounding grade. 7. All trees and shrubs are to have 6" soil watering basins. 8. Water all new plantings deeply and thoroughly. 9. The contractor shall maintain the planting and irrigation installation for 60 days from the date o nal acceptance. 10. All plant materials shall be guaranteed for a minimum of one full year from date of nal acceptance for trees and a minimum of 6 months from date of nal acceptance for shrubs, ground covers and vines. 11. No plants shall be acceptable that show signs of circling or girdling of roots, or any other root-bound condition. 12. Plants shall be su ciently rooted to the edge of the container and to an extent su cient to hold the rootball intact when removed from the container. 13. Plants shall be free from all pests and diseases. 14. Plants shall be undamaged and have proper branch structure. 15. The trees speci ed shall meet the American Standard for Nursery Stock as spec ed in the most recent edition by the American Association of Nurserymen. 16. All plant locations to be con rmed in th eld by the Landscape Architect prior to planting. 17. Irrigation is by performance specs. 18. Contractor shall provide shop drawings to be reviewed and approved by the Landscape Architect. 19. See Planting Plan 2 for planting area treatment, mulch, perennials, and rock elements.
