Phoenix Blaster
The Phoenix Blaster is an upgraded version of the Handgun that can shoot any form of Bullet. It has a base power of 23, yielding 30 damage with Musket Balls and 32 damage with either Meteor Shot or Silver Bullets. It appears to have a laser sight, but this is only aesthetic. This weapon is highly recommended to get as the gun can easily obliterate bosses and mobs, even the Wall of Flesh and The Twins can be quite easily defeated with this gun.

The Phoenix Blaster with Meteor Shot deals 7 less damage than the Molten Fury with Hellfire Arrows, but the combination of very fast attack and projectile speeds along with easily acquired ammunition makes it a far more lethal weapon. Comparison to the Minishark: Advantages of the Phoenix Blaster: Deals nearly 4x more damage per shot Bullets travel faster Slightly higher knockback per shot Semi-Automatic Advantages of the Minishark: Higher rate of fire Fully-Automatic 33% chance of not consuming ammo or 46.7% if you are wearing Necro Armor Fires more bullets per shot More bullets means higher chance of hitting target (especially in cases like the Wall of Flesh where The Hungry block most of your bullets so you want any chance you can get at shooting around them) Great for obliterating swarms of weak enemies as well as doing reasonable damage to groups of stronger enemies. Can hold back stronger enemies

Notes
The Phoenix Blaster is not an automatic gun, so lots of clicking is necessary to use this gun to its full potential. Although not as bullet consuming as the Minishark, lots of bullets are recommended to use this gun. Exploding Bullets are great ammunition for this gun.

Trivia
The new sprite of the Phoenix Blaster looks similar to Duke Nukem's Handgun in Duke Nukem Forever.
