Farewell: The Christian Brothers
Mass of Thanksgiving: Sunday, 16th February at 10.30am
Following Mass all are welcome at Emmanuel College (Rice Campus: formerly CBC) to join with staff and students, past and present, and a number of Christian Brothers including Dermot, Gabe and Hugh, to recognise the contribution of the Brothers to the Warrnambool region. All are invited to BYO lunch (12.30pm) and enjoy music, historical displays and tours of the College. Tea, coffee and a selection of cakes and biscuits will be provided by the College. Lunch from 12.30pm A formal farewell recognizing the Brothers contribution to Warrnambool education and a tree planting at 2.00pm.

Feast of the Presentation of Jesus


This weekend we celebrate the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple, forty days following his birth. Traditionally this has been known as Candlemas Day. Candles are blessed on this day to be used for ceremonies throughout the year. At our baptism we are given a candle: Receive the Light of Christ. May we walk as children of light radiating Christ to the world. Candles will be blessed at all Masses today. You may bring them to the table on the sanctuary prior to Mass or hold them up where you are. Thanksgiving Program: Thank you to the parishioners who financially support the work of the Church at St Josephs. The next set of envelopes are available for collection this weekend There may be parishioners who are not part of the Parish Thanksgiving Program and who may now wish to assist the Parish financially.
