Sealed tenders on percentage rates basis (rate should be quoted in words as well as in figures) are invited from the contractors enlisted in the appropriate class with the CPWD/MES/P&T, working contractors of Jamia Millia Islamia having valid PAN/TIN./ Work Contract Sales Tax No. / STCC. Contractors are required to submit Affidavit on Rs.10/- stamp paper for No Dues pending in r/o I.T., VAT, & C.S.T. as on date and list of works with performance certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer for the following work. Tender document can be had, from the Office of the PROFESSOR INCHARGE, Building & Construction Deptt., Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-25 against the Demand Draft drawn in favour of REGISTRAR, Jamia Millia Islamia, as the cost of the tender document (non- refundable ) as shown in column no. 04 below. Applications for the purchase of tender document alongwith Earnest Money in the shape of Bank draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia (as shown in column no. 05 below) valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of submission of application for tender and valid Registration Certificate, list of projects completed in the last seven years with performance certificates issued by the competent authority will be received in the Office of the PROFESSOR INCHARGE upto 09/12/2013 till 4.00 p.m. The tender will be issued to the eligible contractors upto 13/12/2013 till 4.00 p.m. The tender completed in all respects should reach the Office of the PROFESSOR INCHARGE on 17/12/2013 till 10.30 a.m. The tender will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m. by the PROFESSOR INCHARGE in his Office in presence of the contractor(s), if any. The successful contractor shall be required to submit Performance Guarantee @ 5% of awarded amount before the award of work in the shape of Bank Draft valid for a period of ninety (90) days payable at Delhi in favour of Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia. If any of the above noted date is declared as holiday, next working day may be treated as specified. The tenders shall be issued to those contractors who have experience of the minimum seven years. Tenderers must have successfully completed at least three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost, or have completed two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of the estimated cost or have completed one similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost of the work for which the tender is to be invited, during last seven years. Quality and the time period are the two essential requirements of the contract. Jamia Millia Islamia reserves the right to reject the lowest tender, any other tender or all the tenders without assigning any reason. The tenders incomplete or improperly sealed tenders or rates quoted in figures only or conditional tenders or tenders quoted with absurd rates or tenders submitted with the use of fluid are liable to be rejected.
