Battery backup is doubled. Heating issue is still there because of a89 kernel and its overvolted by default.

If micromax dont release jelly bean for A89, then xda members can edit A110 jb rom and make it for A89. Because both got same mt6577 processor and PowerVR SGX531. So sooner or later, we will taste jelly bean a.k.a Android 4.1. Hi baap, can you tell me the battery model by looking at the back of your battery? it looks something like "EB504465VU"(for samsung galaxy 3) And here is the link of all the available samsung batteries in flipkart.(only 11). Kindly take a look of it and say which one it is http://www.flipkart.com/mobile-acces...#jumpTo=495|11 Thanks

For Battery problem look at this experts advice. FOR THOSE WITH BATTERY PROBLEMS: 1. After flashing your phone with a new ROM, install this software: BATTERY CALIBRATOR on Play Store - 47 KB size or from here 2. Then, charge your phone to 100%. 3. IMPORTANT. Remove CHARGER first. 4. IMMEDIATELY hit "Battery Calibration" (1 or 2 seconds delay is fine, wait for BATTERY voltage

to drop and be stable) 5. Use your phone normally (don't charge in between) till it hits 1%. 6. Then charge your phone UNINTERRUPTED (leave it for charging all night) till 100%. 7. Unplug and start using. You should be having as little as 2-3% battery drain for 6-8 hours of IDLING now. That's the optimization of a calibrated battery. Extra Battery Saving Tips: * Set ROTATION to OFF if you are not using Landscape Mode at all.
thanks if u like my post its totally free............. :P :P :P

Is anyone else facing the heat issue?? Yes! I think all of the people are having the heat-up issue. Also the update you were talking about, where can I download it from? And bhardik, did using that battery Calibrator trick have increased the battery life on your A89? Who is thinking of buying that samsung battery that was mentioned earlier? Last question! which is the best sound enhancement mod for using with earphones/headphones? Micromax A89 - LEWA OS iBall i9702 - Jellybean Custom ROM LEWA OS [MMX A89] - Simple, Beautiful, Elegant! Irritating really.

I am just feeling that I've found a way to fix the heating issue..But might also be just placebo effect. Can someone else try and confirm?? MTK6577 Governor Switcher Follow the instructions properly and change the governor to ondemand and don't forget to tick the 2nd core activation. you may also try on hybrid governor.
---------- Post added at 11:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:01 PM ----------

Yes I'm pretty sure now that it's a definite fix to the problem. So the problem as it seems to me now is that either the hybrid governor was causing the problem or else the 2nd core wasn't working which was causing the 1st processor to heat up.. Heat now is almost negligible while normal use and and alot less while gaming. Pretty much acceptable really.
