The plan was to drop in 2 groups of Rangers, the best soldiers in the Army, ... one group, Delta Team, would enter the Target Building, where the Warlords were, the rest of the Rangers would break into 4 groups called Chalks to protect Delta. When Delta Team captured the Warlords the Convoy would come retrieve them. When the Rangers landed, they quickly surrounded the Target Building...

With the exception of a few casualties, were going great things were going great.

RPG Being Fired At least until the rst Black Hawk was hit by an RPG. CSAR Smoking Black Hawk HUMVEEs CSAR (Combat Search And Rescue) units roped to the crash to defend the pilots. As the CSAR roped in, an RPG hit their Black Hawk and forced it down. The Rangers climbed into the trucks and attempted to race to the crash.

Soldiers Running Without any room left in the trucks, Chalk 2 ran on foot to the downed helicopter. HUMVEEs Solider in a HUMVEE Crashed Black Hawk Unfortunately, the Convoy received bad directions and ended up driving in circles. The Convoy was taking heavy re and forced to return to base. No one could get to the second crash, so the Somalians took the pilot prisoner.

Soldiers Running As night fell, the 99 men still in the city were being hit left and right... Black Hawk Soldiers Pinned Down Night Soliders so helicopters rushed in to provide air support under the cover of darkness. The soldiers on the ground began to run out of Water, Ammo out of water, ammo and other supplies. In the middle of the night, a Black Hawk landed to deliver supplies to the soldiers. At Base, the 10 Mountain division led a rescue convoy to retrieve the Rangers. Convoy The rescue convoy was 1/2 mile long and consisted of tanks, atbeds and APCs.

Script It was a hard ght, but with 100 trucks lled with men, they pushed through. In the end, the mission went relatively successful. The Somalian Warlords were captured... and all but 18 men came home alive.
