A number in the range 1 to 124 which defines the absolute channel number.

The account code is a decimal string which is a part of the account information.

The AM0 speech coder consists of the multi"rate speech coder/ a source controlled rate scheme including a *oice acti*it! detector and a comfort noise generation s!stem/ and an error concealment mechanism to combat the effects of transmission errors and lost pac$ets. The multi"rate speech coder is a single integrated speech codec with eight source rates #i.e. AM0 codec modes% from 4.9: $bit/s to 12.2 $bit/s/ and a low rate bac$ground noise encoding mode. The address for policing is the address that is used for policing purposes. +t is either a number or a signalling point. The supplementar! ser*ice which pro*ides the possibilit! for a mobile subscriber/ who pa!s for the use of telecommunication ser*ices/ to recei*e charging information related to the used telecommunication ser*ices. Ao is di*ided into Ao #information% and Ao #charging%. Ao harging This Ao supplementar! ser*ice pro*ides the mobile station #MS% with necessar! information to calculate the estimation of the charge for a call. This estimation can be used for charging purposes/ since the call can be pre*ented/ if MS does not confirm the reception of the information. Alternation is a procedure that switches the speech connection of the ser*ed mobile subscriber from the acti*e telephon! call to the held call. The acti*e call then becomes a held call and the former held call becomes acti*e.

The teleser*ice code identifies the teleser*ice/ which pro*ides the complete capabilit!/ including terminal e5uipment functions/ for communication between users according to protocols established b! agreement between networ$ operators.
