February 2014 Dear Friend, Greetings to you from everyone at the church. I'm so glad the ord is building !is church. "lthough things come against the church, !e said nothing can #revail against it for it is founded u#on the roc$ %hrist &esus' !is love is greater and dee#er than man can understand and gras#. In singing of the love of God, one man said (e can only see to the hori)on, but there's more...far more beyond that. *he love of God stretches farther than the eye can see and touches the hearts of those (ho listen to !is +ord. !is love #rom#ted !im to die on the cross so (e could live. ,ut even more than that, !is love motivated !im to go and #re#are a #lace for us after this life is over' Does &esus care about (hat you are going through- .h yes, !e cares' ,ecause !e cares (e can cast every care u#on !im' *here is a beautiful verse of /cri#ture that says, 0Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?1 "ll too often (e thin$ if bad things ha##en then it is a sign of God's dis#leasure and #roof !e doesn't love us. It sure can feel that (ay sometimes' ,ut the fact is the things of this life cannot se#arate us from the love of God in %hrist &esus' 2aul (ent on to (rite that he (as #ersuaded that 0...neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our ord1 3!omans "#$%& $'4. "ll throughout the ,ible I read that God loves us. I am #ersuaded that !e indeed does love us. 5ven though things are not #erfect, I have to remember that (e are living in a fallen (orld. *his is 6ust a tem#orary #lace for us, because as the man said earlier in this letter, there is more...so much more than (e can gras#. *here may be suffering here, but there (ill be #eace (hen (e finally reach our heavenly destination' *here may be dangers and fears (ithin, troubles (ithout, struggles and testings and trials, but God's love still abides faithfully (ith us. +hen (e cast our cares u#on !im, !e

underta$es for us. *he ,ible tells us (e can cast all our cares u#on !im sim#ly because !e cares for us. ,ecause of !is great love to(ards us, !e fills our hearts (ith 6oy and #eace, even in the midst of trouble. "nd the ,ible says !e brings our soul out of the #risons (e are in. " #rison can be anything that binds us and $ee#s us from the liberty found in %hrist &esus our ord. 7ou can be in a #rison of your o(n mind. *he #ast may haunt you, but &esus %hrist can liberate you from that dar$ #lace' ,ad e8#eriences can drain you, but the love of God in %hrist can strengthen you' 2hysical and emotional conflicts may surround you, but (hen you tell it all to &esus %hrist !e reaches do(n and lifts you u#' et me encourage you today because &esus %hrist has given us #romises that cannot be changed or ta$en bac$.
