3Academic Project: Undergraduate Thesis Title-Seismic Performance Analysis of Bahaddarhat Flyover AbstractIn this paper seismic performance of Bahaddarhat Flyover situated in Chittagong city has been carried out for a strong earthquake ground motion record. A single pier along with the elastomeric bearing, bridge deck and girder is considered in the study. With the help of the analytical software DRAIN-2D, the time history analysis of the pier and elastomeric rubber bearing is carried out. From the analysis it has been found that the pier is more susceptible to failure than the bearing for the given earthquake ground motion records. A careful selection of bearing type is needed while designing a bridge with isolation bearing.
