G G G
Specifically designed to prevent pitting attack on inner bottom shell plating in tanks. Provides protection of steel during ballast voyages, and during cargo voyages when residual water settles in tank bottom. Acts as primary source of protection in bare steel tanks, or excellent backup in coated tanks. Low-cost, long life anodes are easily clamped or welded to bottom longitudinals by crew, riding gang or shipyard. Meets regulatory body requirements. Simple and economical method of preserving metal and avoiding costly steel renewals. Surveys and design available to suit individual requirements.
