Announcement of short Course on Project management, monitoring and evaluation in healthcare interventions CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Development Studies Department within the School of Public Health and Social Sciences will run a two week short course on Project management, monitoring and evaluation in health care interventions starting from 17th to 28th March 2014 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily. Prospective participants are invited to apply

Purpose of the Course


The purpose of the course is to impart to the participants knowledge and skills needed in managing, monitoring and evaluating health care interventions. Specifically, at the end of the course the participants shall be able to

1. Define the most critical issues for the project management. 2. Design project for health care intervention 3. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for monitoring and evaluation of projects in health care 4. Design monitoring system 5. Conduct routine monitoring of health care interventions 6. Design evaluation plan for a project 7. Conduct evaluation for various health related interventions

Course fees
Each participant will be required to pay Tshs 750,000(Appendix one)=for Citizens and $600 for foreigners for the 10days program to cover for venue, meals (drinks, snacks and lunch) during the day, workplace visits (transport hiring), allowance for facilitators (incidentals, transport), social event on the final day. Accommodation and transport cost to and from the training venue are exclusive. Limited scholarship for course fee, breakfast, lunch and refreshment will be provided to needy participants.

Venue

The course will be conducted at the School of Public Health and Social Sciences within MUHAS premises

Prospective participants
Prospective participants of the course are individuals working in Public Health Interventions who are likely to utilize the skills gained through this course in their day to day implementation of their Interventions.
