The Multicultural Resource Center extends a warm welcome to our new transfer students arriving in a very cold January 2014 to Binghamton University. February kicks off our busiest semester as the month opens up with all the Black History Month festivities. The first MRC Student Leaders Meeting hosted more than 60 representatives of various cultural groups and more than 40 announcements for upcoming student programs. The MRC will continue to host our Diversity Talks this semester along with a series of workshops and trainings for faculty, staff and students. There are so many events and lots of ongoing programs to be apart of so stop by our office to learn more about how to get involved. The MRC has 12 interns, 3 graduate and 9 undergraduates this semester to service all our cultural student groups! Be on the lookout for them at your events and general body meetings. Check out the enclosed pages about great events going on this month!

Do You Want to be on a TV Talk Show!? Join the MRCs Bi-Weekly Diversity Talk
The Multicultural Resource Center is looking for students to participate in a new show produced by Binghamton Television BTV6. This is a new and improved version of the MRC Bi-Weekly Diversity Talks we had last semester. BTV6 is the student-run television station that airs to over 15,000 students across the Binghamton campus. We plan to include 6 panelists for each show who will discuss one topic related to diversity together. There will be 7 shows this semester. If you are interested in participating on one of the shows or have suggestions for topics, please email Mengchen Huang, MRC Program Coordinator at mhuang@binghamton.edu or call 607-777-6071.
