!t is ass #ed that $o are sing the WebSphere Version to Version Migration Workshop VMWare i#age that has been pre%installed with !"M !nstallation Manager V&.' and has the binaries re( ired )or the WebSphere Application Server ND V8.5 installation.

Introduction
WebSphere Application Server ND V8.5 is installed sing the !"M !nstallation Manager which #a$ be new to sers o) previo s versions on WebSphere Application Server. The )ollowing prod cts are alread$ installed on $o r VM WebSphere Application Server ND V'.&.*.* D"+ ,nterprise ,dition V-.5.* !nstallation Manager V&.' The binaries )or WebSphere Application Server ND V8.5 are in the )ollowing director$. /.0W123S4150"inaries0WAS85

Exercise Instructions
&. Start !nstallation Manager b$ clicking Start Programs IBM Installation Manager IBM Installation Manager +. Add the 2epositor$ that contains the binaries )or the WebSphere Application Server ND V8.5 installation b$ clicking File Preferences and then clicking the Add Repository b tton on the 5re)erences window.

9. 1n the Add 2epositor$ Dialog: click OK 5. 1n the 5re)erences Dialog: click OK '. Start the installation wi;ard b$ clicking the Install b tton on the !nstallation Manager ho#e screen.

<. When the =select packages to install> window is shown: select the IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment !ersion "#$#%#% !nstallation 5ackage and click Next

8. Accept the 6icense Agree#ent and click Next
