Dear Families,

Skoolbo Newlsetter

Last week we researched educational applications and discovered a site called Skoolbo (suggested to us by our Middle School English teacher, Ms. Emmy). This is an educational site that needs to be downloaded onto your PC or iPad. It is completely free. The website is: http://skoolbo.com/core_skills/ . Once the software or application has been downloaded to your PC or iPad, you do not need to access the website anymore, because the application will be on your desktop screen. Each child has been created an account, and they have been shown how to access the site and they have even had time to explore it in class. They do not have to access this site on their own time, but if they are going to be playing video games on the iPad, why not make them educational games? Again, this is not required. It is simple a tool your child can use to help develop their learning. Your child's login and password were sent home in their folder today. Please keep that in a safe, convenient place (on the fridge, their bulletin board, etc), so that they can access it when they need to. You may also choose the "sign-in shortcut" the first time you sign in at home in order to make it easier for them. You will have to add your email as a parent. Queridas Famlias, Semana passada pesquisamos programas educacionais e encontramos um site denominado Scoolbo, que me foi sugerido pela professora do Middle School, a Ms. Emmy. Este um site educacional que precisa ser baixado no seu computador ou iPad, contudo totalmente gratuito. O endereo : http://skoolbo.com/core_skills/ . Assim que o programa estiver instalado, voc no precisa mais acessar o site pois ele estar na tela do seu computador (no desktop). Foi criada uma conta para cada aluno da nossa sala de aula. As crianas aprenderam como acessar e tiveram tempo para explor-lo tambm.Veja bem, no obrigatrio baixar ou acessar este site mas como as crianas gostam de brincar com videogames sugiro que usem sites educacionais para desenvolver o aprendizado. O nome do usurio e senha do seu filho est na pasta de temas de hoje. Peo que o ponham em um lugar visvel e de fcil acesso para eles(na geladeira, na tela do computador,etc). Na primeira vez que acessarem podem usar o sign-in shortcut para facilitar. Pai ou me, voc ter que incluir seu e-mail.
