Future proof modules As energy efficacy advances in LEDs are made and new bins become available, these are incorporated into the Fortimo LED Modules, offering continuously higher efficacies, without changing the dimensions, or lumen output of the system. A really future proofed approach to enable luminaire manufacturers to plan and design new luminaire ranges for the coming years.

What is new in the Fortimo LED DLM Gen5 range? The Philips LumiLeds Luxeon M have been increasing the performance since the introduction of the first generation of Fortimo LED DLM in 2008. In the Fortimo LED DLM Gen5 range this is translated into the following changes. Lower power consumption which enables lower power drivers to be compatible Up to 9% higher module efficiency Availability of 5000 lm version for high ceiling applications.

Drivers for the Fortimo LED DLM range

Fortimo LED DLM Gen5 modules will, unlike previous generations, not be compatible with the traditional Fortimo LED DLM driver range. The advanced Xitanium LED driver range is the best solution for an optimal LED module - driver combination.

Philips Xitanium LED drivers Philips has a full and ever increasing range of Xitanium LED drivers for indoor lighting modules. This range is characterized by high efficiency, light weight, central DC operation, SELV and hot wiring possibility. Xitanium LED drivers come in fixed light output or DALI dimmable (TD) and Trailing edge (TE) dimming versions. Xitanium LED 25/17/12W drivers have the ultimate flexibility in that they can be simply altered from being an independent driver to a built in driver.

The Fortimo LED DLM system ordering data table holds all possible module-driver combinations. Note that at this moment the dimmable driver for the DLM 5000 Gen5 is under development. The Fortimo LED DLM 1100 Gen5 modules are dimmable with Xitanium 17W TD LED drivers.
