When one of the teachers of the law came to the Lord Jesus and he asked him, Of all the commandments, which is the most important?, and the Lord replied that aside from loving God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength.He said that, the second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these." Mark 12:31 (NLT).

Notice the word equally important this is a direct proportion to loving with all that you have for God. It's impossible to relate well to God when we have poor relationships with others.
