The listing should be typed a space below the heading REFERENCES in the order of references cited in the report. List of references should be given in the following order with the format given in the example. 1. Journals. 2. Conference proceedings. 3. Books. 4. Websites with complete URL address Example: [1.] Tsuchiya T Improved direct digital control algorithm for microprocessor implementations IEEE Trans. Automatic control, Sept 1982,Vol AC 27, PP 295 306. 4.12 BIBLIOGRAPHY Books and papers referred generally for preparing the project report but not specifically cited as shown in section 4.11 are to be listed in the heading Bibliography. The format used for listing must be same as for reference. 4.13 TABLES & FIGURES By the word Table, is meant tabulated numerical data in the body of the thesis as well as in the annexures. Numbering of figure should include chapter number and serial number of the figure, separated by full stop. If more figures are coming under same figure number, they should be distinguished with lower case English alphabets as shown below. Example: Fig.6.1 (a) Fig.6.1 (b) A table or a figure including caption should be accommodated within the prescribed margin limits and appear on the page following the page where their first reference is made. appear on the same page along with the text. However they should be separated from the text both above and below by triple spacing. All tables and figures should be prepared on the same paper or material used for the preparation of the rest of the report. For preparing caption, numerals, symbols or characters in the case of tables or figures either word processing software or lettering guide should be used.
