EXPERIMENT :

AIM : To preparation of glyptal resin. APPARATUS : R.B. flask, water condenser, conical flask, test tube. REQUIREMENTS : Phthalic anhydride, glycerol, R.B. flask, beaker, water condenser. PROCESS : 1. In 25 !l R.B. flask, take 15 g! of phthalic anhydride and 11 !l glycerol. 2. "ttach a water condenser to the neck of flask, reflu# the content of flask on stand bath at 1$ %1& c for 15 !in. $. "fter this period transfer the brown yellow resin in to a pre'iously weighted test tube. (. note down the weighty of glyptal resin for!ed glyptal is resin soluble in acetone.
