Check boom angle indicators over full range for accuracy. Check boom hoist limiter or shutoff and anti two block devices for proper operation. Check pendant line for evident deterioration, corrosion and damage. Check hydraulic cylinders for wear and deformation (for telescopic boom). Check condition of hoses & fitting for any leakage and deformation. (for telescopic boom) 6 DRUM Check drum diameter, pitch diameter of not less than 18 times the nominal rope diameter used. Ensure the flange have minimum of' 1/2" (13 mm) over the top layer of rope at all times. Ensure no less than 5 full wraps of rope remain on the drums in any operating condition. Check for cracked or worn. Ensure boom hoist pawl or check valve for hydraulic cylinder is installed. Verify certificate of conformance. PUMP & MOTOR Inspect for loose bolts or fasteners. Inspect for leaks at joints between sections. Inspect Shaft seal leaks. Check unusual noises or vibration. Inspect loss of operating speed. Check excessive heating of the fluid. Check loss of pressure. Verify certificate of conformance. WIRE ROPE Verify certificate of conformance. Check wire rope for evident deterioration, broken and damage, or improper reeving. Check end attachedment for loose, missing or corroded bolt, pins, keepers or cotter pins. Record actual diameter and part line number using wire rope inspection report sheet

9 WEDGE TYPE SOCKETS Verify that the socket and wedge are the correct size for the rope in use. Check the socket eye & pin for roundness and wear A pin keeper should always used with the pin. Check socket and wedge for rough edges or burns. Ensure wire rope clips used in conjunction with wedge sockets attached only to the unloaded (dead end) of the rope. Ensure U-bolts clips installed with the U-bolt section on the dead or short end, and the saddle HOOK Check crane hooks for deformation. Check condition of hook latch. Check connection of rope end. Record hook serial number and hook capacity. SHEAVES Check sheave for wear, crack, rope path alignment and bearing condition. BRAKE & CLUTCHES Verify testing report. Check control mechanism of brakes and clutches for proper operations. Check for leakage and damage in air and hydraulic system. Verify condition of all braking systems. The brake should have adequate capacity to smoothly stop 110% of rated load from the maximum design speed in the lowering mode while lowering. PRIME MOVER Check all fluid levels of prime mover. Check control mechanisms including brake and clutches for proper operation. Check for hoist lubricant oil leakage. In hoist where a sight glass is provided, check the fluid level.

Check for leakage or damage in the air and non mechanical systems. Check belts and chain for proper adjustment. Ensure engine exhausts equipped with a spark arresting. Check power plants for proper performance compliance with safety requirements. Ensure the correct load rating chart for the configuration in use is visible to the crane operator at the primary control station. Check all control mechanism for proper adjustment, excessive wear of component and contamination by foreign matter. Check for evident Leakage and damage of host. Check pump pressure and compare to the manufacturers specified pressure setting in each hydraulic circuit. SWING MECHANISM Visually check for cracking and deformation. Check for excessive wear of components and contamination by lubricants or other foreign matter. Check the parking Brake & shall be capable of remaining in the engaged position without the attention of the operator. When provided, check dynamic fraction brake condition and proper function. When provided , check swing lock condition and proper function. Visually check for cracking and deformation. When provided , check swing lock condition and proper function. Visually check for cracking and deformation. 17 CONTROLS, CABS & MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT Check the control operations and functions shall be clearly marked and easily visible. Control levers for boom hoist , load hoist , swing and boom telescope ( when applicable ) shall return automatically to their center (neutral) positions on release. Check the condition of door, window, platforms and walkways. Load charts should be provided inside of cabs. Function check of the boom hoist limiter and overload protective device and anti two block system. Ballast or counter weight when applicable, crane should not be operated without the appropriate Ballast or counter weight in place as specified by the crane manufacturer. Fire Extinguisher : A carbon dioxide, dry chemical or equivalent fire extinguisher of sufficient capacity shall be kept in the cab or vicinity of the crane
