Self assessment Target time for this assessment is 2 hours Candidates Instructions Candidates should: 1.1 Execute the CAD software and use the template file ASS1MOCKTEMPLATE.dwt as supplied. Ensure that the drawing is currently in model space 1.2 Create two layers called HAMMER and NAIL with a continuous linetype and any colours of your choice HAMMER 1.3 Using appropriate commands, draw the Hammer on the layer HAMMER to the specification detailed in figure 1 and position the centre of the Hammer 70mm in X and 25mm in Y from the top right hand corner of the border as shown in figure 2.

1.8 Make the current layer 0 and save the drawing to your documents & storage device as a file called MOCKASS1HAMMER&NAIL.dwg Print/plot an A4 hard copy to fit page. 1.9 Create a new folder on the storage device (and your documents) called MOCKASS1 and copy MOCKASS1HAMMER&NAIL drawing file onto this folder. 1.10 The completed assignment is shown in figure 8.
