SC Whitmore School student Carlos Guevara headlines West Columbia concert

SC Whitmore School student Carlos Guevara was the main attraction at the first annual Parking Lot Jam at the West Columbia Chick-Fil-A on January 31st. The concert drew over 150 individuals from the area looking to support this up and coming star. Carlos, from Lexington SC, struggles with Tourettes Syndrome, but music helps him stay in control. Tourettes affects my life every day. You just cant let it hold you back. Carlos hopes to keep the momentum of his successful top four boys finish in the hit show X-Factor moving towards more local and national concerts. Helping Carlos pursue his music career while simultaneously finishing high school is SC Whitmore School. Carlos explains that Whitmore is great because I can get my school work done anytime of the day. I will be traveling to LA next, and it will be no problem going to school. Other online schools were not as flexible with my schedule. I plan to go to school through the summer and maybe work towards graduating early.

SC Whitmore School, is a free public virtual high school powered by CompuHighs mastery-based curriculum, and is available to all South Carolina residents.
