First of all I would like to gratitude my gratefulness to Allah that I have finally finished this assignment. Endless thanks to Madam Sharifah for helping me throughout completing this assignment and also to my teammates Siti Nur Hawa and Mohd Husni who used the same method as mine. One of the course or major subject that I learn for this semester is Methodology which is actually a subject on how a teacher handle and teach their students according to their different individual potentials as mention by the oxford dictionary that methodology is a system of methods used in a particular area of study or activity. Thus our assignment for this course is mainly about how we are going to teach our student by a randomly given method. The method that I was assign to present was Total Physical Response which the basic is about teaching student using gestures and movements. I was really excited when I was assign to present about this method because I am a student who just cannot stand still for a long time as I am easily distracted by things around me so when I move around I am more focus. Along the process of the presentation of my method I think I had managed to put in all the important principles such as fun activities and a lot of movement. From my activities I can see that they are excited and having fun and that is the main principle of my method. However I forgot to consider the activities with the language skills gain by students from this method which are listening and reading. I had managed to put in the element of listening from the first and second activity but not the second activity. So I should have been more cautious of my lesson plan because this is considered as one of the major mistake that I should not do in my presentation. I should have let my team members to read my lesson plan and asked about their opinion however I was paranoid that they will copy my activities and do it better than me. So as teacher to be I have to think openly and stop being overly suspicious.

Other than that, I think my presentation was creative as I had a variety of activities and games. In contrast with the other presentation that had present before me who only have one or two activities. From my opinion it is important to have a varied of activities because different student have a different way to learn according to their individual difference such as their cognitive, psychomotor, emotion and many more. Likewise what Mark Vondracek, a physic teacher said that it is the only way to reach all students is to have a variety of ways of presenting the course material. This always seemed logical because in a typical class there is a variety of ability among the students as well as a variety of ways each student best learns. So I had manage to construct three different activities that involve physical activities however my activities does not emphasizes on the target language which is English. Only the first and second activity involves the target language. Moreover, my activities during the presentation did not follow what I have put in my lesson plan because I made a last minute change and forgot to edit my lesson plan. It was a lesson to me to review and check multiple times next time I make a lesson plan or any assignment so that I can detect the errors and fix it. Most importantly, my briefing for the class at the beginning of the presentation was not organisable even though I had already planned what I want to say the night before such as the teacher and student roles, the main principle and many more. However I do not know what happened to me that day that I forgot everything that I want to say and I just randomly brief the student by what I remember so I missed a lot of things. Hence I learnt that as a teacher I always need a backup plan as anything can happen to us when we are in nervous wreck so next time even though I had already plan what to say and what not say I still need to write it down so that I can refer to it whenever I forgot about it.

Furthermore I also have made a lot of silly mistake from this presentation such as my language. Even though I am a Tesl student I still have problems with my speaking for example the use of tenses in my sentences. I would not notice until somebody mentions it. So I really need to start reading a lot from various reading materials so that I can improve my grammar that I will use in my sentence. Not only that reading will help enhance my vocabulary so that I will not restricted to sentence words only when I speak in English. In conclusion, I was very upset with my presentation as I have made a lot of silly mistake which can pull down my marks when I thought I have made my best and very successful presentation. Nevertheless I need to stay strong because that is how life is, you will always fail but we need to get up every time we fail and try again. (948 words)
