Dear Mr. Sultan

Regarding the Above mentioned subject for Motorola XPIC Links ASSIR , RAN section Mr.Saad
Already had a two meeting with Motorola for discussion the XPIC Links
The first Meeting was Tuesday, August 11, 2009 3:00 PM and please find the attached The MO
The Second Meeting Wednesday  August 26, 2009 11:00 AM please find the attached The MO

In Both Meeting We already Informed  Motorola if they want Mobily side accept these mention
Motorola should doing the following Items ASAP to meet our Mobily standard

1-The Installation quality for the Links should be clarified …………………….…Unfortunately till

The installation quality have been checked during the PAT and it’s all accepted which mea
meat the MNS requirements. However, since the XPIC link is only swapping the old MMU 1
that’s mean there is no specific installation or reports need for clarifying the XPIC installa

2-The Links Visibility on NOC which not visible  …………………………………….… Unfortunately

The DCN parameter is configure correctly and the visibility is not related to XPIC it
NPU problem in Asser Network (and it’s under MNS) and it’s affecting the XPIC visi
whenever MNS solve this problem the visibility will be solved.

3-XPD  (Cross Polarization Interference Canceller)Test Result ……….………… Unfortunately  No

Neither Ericsson nor Motorola know about the requirements of this test. And as per them t
Polarization Discrimination) is a parameter identified and tested from the manufacture… a
from them to find a way to test it in field… and we are waiting their replay. However, this
consider as major issue.

4-The stability Test 48 Hrs. using the Test Equipments  SDH analyzer ……… Unfortunately  No
-          The XPIC link is not the only SDH link in the network and this test should not be
the XPIC links.
-          Because the XPIC links are carrying traffic this test is not applicable in our case
default they will pass even 72 Hrs test result because the traffic is stable for more
requirements.

5-The Synchronization Plan for these SDH XPIC Links ……………………………….. Unfortunately
You should know that all the MW SDH link in the network are using internal clock n
which means there is no plan for Synchronization since the sync is generated intern
MW equipments. And as mentioned It’s Sync plan for SDH… and the XPIC links are
SDH link in the network…

6-The final  Pathloss Design because I found out the design not respect the Multipath reflectio

Please find some links XPIC Links with very bad Multipath which we must protect our equipm

From the Bad affect mainly the Multipath

From the picture you send, it’s clearly showing that you depend on the digital map which
different than the actual.
Note: the same links are working as SDH since L+0 with the same frequency. So, h
Multipath start affecting the SDH link now….!!!

7-furhermore the Links time by time suffering from Error which affect the Mobily Huge Traffic

That Is why I can’t Accept these said links till finalizing all Above points Mentioned

Thank you and best regards
