and organizations towards the achievement
of set objectives.

General Objective
-the efficient and effective management
of solid waste generated within the
LGUs jurisdiction

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
1.

Implementation of source reduction

and minimization of waste generated
at source.
2. Implementation of resource
recovery, recycling and re-use, and
composting of wastes at the
barangay level.
3. Efficient collection, proper transfer
and transport of wastes by city or
municipality.
4. Efficient management of residuals
and of final disposal sites and/or any
other related technologies for the
destruction/re-use of residuals.
TARGETS
a. Diversion of atleast 25% of all solid
waste from waste disposal facilities
within 5 years after the effectivity of
RA 9003
b. Conversion of open dumps into
controlled dumps within 3 years after
the effectivity of RA 9003.
c. Operation of sanitary landfill within 5
years after the effectivity of RA 9003
