Reasons for choosing this particular research topic:

Daniel Craig is a Bangladeshi who came to UK in 2006 for a better education whatever it might bring. After coming here, he started wor ing in a higher and further education centre. !e nows about the "roblems that are facing international students due to new governmental rules. !e wanted to stud# the "roblems that international students are facing. $here has been fle%ible wor ing hours for international students till 200&. But, from 'arch, 200( the government of UK has changed the rules and regulation and im"lemented the new ones. $he "roblem faced b# these students is their inca"abilit# to s"ea the )nglish language fluentl#. $he )nglish language is the standard medium that is used b# the schools and universities. And because these students came from different countries from all over the world, obviousl#, it would be *uite difficult for them to s"ea the language that the# are not that ca"able of. But, +overnment also has been fle%ible on the re*uirement of )nglish. As a result "eo"le from different countries are coming towards UK for higher education. Daniel has also noticed that there are few reasons for coming to UK. ,eo"le thin that UK is a develo"ed countr# as well as their citi-ens are well off. .o the# have been started coming here to have a better life and a better future. $he education s#stem of UK is well enough. Because of the fle%ibilit# of )nglish, students from around the world are reaching here to have a better education. /ecentl# the UK government has changed the 0mmigration s#stem and the total s#stem has become volatile. 0t has to be mentioned that man# colleges has abused the rules and regulation of UKBA 1United Kingdom Border Agenc#2. $hat is the reason to change the whole s#stem. As a result, UKBA has banned man# colleges. $hat3s wh#4 the students have been affected badl#. !e also found out that almost 5.& million students are stud#ing at UK right now. 6rom that 5.5 billion is doing bachelor courses and the remaining are masters. 6rom the overseas students UK government generates &.7 billion revenue each #ear. ,reviousl# wor ing hours for students was 20 hours when the# have routine classes. $he new rules have sto""ed this o""ortunit# which will
certainl# create "roblems for the students who were bearing their educational e%"enses wor ing there during the studies. 8ow according to changed rules4 "rovision of wor will be available for the students of onl# "ublicl# funded universities and educational colleges while the remaining students would not have the right to do so. Academics are bo#cotting the new UK visa rules for international students

because the# believe the rules enforce a culture of "olicing students. Under the new $ier 9 rules for the UK student visa, lecturers and universit# staff are now su""osed to re"ort international students who do not turn u" to lectures, and chec the 0D of students and visiting academics from countries other than the UK. $he $ier 9 of the new "oints:based s#stem for immigration went live last month, which means that all UK student visa a""lications now must obtain s"onsorshi" from a licensed universit#, inde"endent school or college. $he# also need to "rove their abilit#

to financiall# su""ort themselves for nine months while stud#ing in the UK and "rovide biometric information to the UK Border Agenc#. $hat is wh#4 immigration s#stem is now a massive issue for the UK government. $he "rocess of collecting ideas for the "ro"osal started with the "erusal of boo s and ;ournal articles in the universit# librar#. $he "rocess was also hel"ed b# attendance at the 'BA /esearch 'ethods module which hel"ed Daniel "re"are the "ro"osal in the format re*uired b# the universit#. 6ormal submission of the "ro"osal was re*uired but this did not form "art of the assessment of the research methods course. 0ndeed, the course was not assessed as such, onl# the research "ro;ect itself was the sub;ect of formal assessment. After some "ractice drafts which he shared with his follow students, Daniel finall# arrived at the following title< UK IMMIGRATION SYSTEM: HO STU!ENT MARKET IS A""E#TE! $Y
THE NE RU%ES&

$he research ob;ectives were< 5. $o find out the reasons wh# so man# students are now coming to UK. 2. $o identif# what difficulties and "roblems that is facing b# the international students in UK. =. $o recommend actions that the authorit# should ta e to overcome the "roblems students face about the fle%ible wor ing hours and other issues. 9. $o understand the barriers which students ma# face when see ing ;obs.
