What did we do to combat this lack of volunteerism? Water down the lesson! Simplify it for our teachers so that they had as little commitment as possible! This is not fair to our kids! Most importantly, kids curriculum and church experience has suffered from a lack of the gospel. What do I mean by that? We teach the wonderful stories of the Bible as just that, stories. Stories with a moral mind you, but they might as well been Aesops Fables. Heres a story. (Do this, not this. Dont do this, do this.) If you obey, God will approve of you. I am passionate about raising Christ following kids, who become Christ following, teens, college students, adults, seniors. To do this, Kids ministry needs to be of first importance!
