Why do I want to pursue this career ?

For every voice to be heard

Equal rights and opportunities For everyone to have a fair chance no matter the race because I want people represent the people who work their butts off day end and day out for this country To represent s voices to be herd To the people who really matter I want their words to count

Civil lawyer (job description)


To advise and represent clients in court on legal diputes To communicate with their clients and others Conduct research and analysis of legal problems Interpret laws, ruling, and regulations for their clients or others and agencies on their behalf Present facts in writing or verbally to their clients or others and argue on their behalf (what lawyers do )

Interest/skills/high school studies required


Analytical skills : meaning being able to analyze large amounts of information, determine reliance facts and purpose valuable solutions
Interspersion skills : building a trust relationships so the clients feels comfortable to share personal information related to their case Problem solving skills : lawyers must separate their emotions and prejudice from their clients problem and evaluate their matter Research skills : lawyers must be able to analyze large amounts of information and break that down into what they really need find the important issues of the case Speaking skills : lawyers spend hours speaking to the jury explaining their cases lawyers can argue their case for more than 2hours Writing skills : lawyers tend to write taking points about most of their cases determining how to win the case Patience skill : because cases can last to 2 years of even longer (how to become a lawyer)

Route: degree(s) years of study required


7 years of full-time study after high school 4 years of undergraduate study followed by 3 years of law school Most states and jurisdiction require future lawyers to complete public speaking, government, history, economics, or mathematics'

A bachelor's degree is required for entry into most law schools


Law school that are particularly approved by the American bar associate (ABA) require you to take the Law School Admission Test ( LSATS) Many law schools and states and your local ABA provide legal community courses (how to become a lawyer)
