PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: PAC L is a low-viscosity, tech-grade fluid-loss-control polymer. It is designed for situations where filtration control is needed with only minimal increases in rheology. PAC L polymer will perform well in all brine applications, especially saltwater-base fluids. PAC L polymer may be used at all densities in either dispersed or non-dispersed systems. PAC L polymer will encapsulate solids to control dispersion of active shale. Control filtration rates. Retard shale swelling and disintegration, Provide Supplementary viscosity in fresh water, see water and brine-based fluids. Effective in small concentration for viscosity and filtration control. Stable at temperature up to high ph systems. Does not require a bactericide. Effective in high calcium environment. APPLICATIONS: PAC L polymer controls fluid loss in freshwater, seawater, KCl, and salt water. PAC L additive aids in the formation of a tough, thin filtercake to minimize the potential for differential sticking. Recommended treatment for PAC L polymer is from 0.5 to 3.0 lb/bbl (1.5 to 9.0 kg/m3) depending on the water type and the salt level to control fluid loss. PAC L polymer will be useful in areas where the generation of viscosity build-up should be avoided, but filtration control is required. A concentration of 2.5 lb/bbl (7 kg/m3) of PAC L polymer in fresh water will provide a viscosity of 15 cP and only a 5-lb/100 ft2 (2.5 Pa) yield-point value. PAC L polymer will create an envelope around exposed shales and cuttings for encapsulation that reduces dispersion and improves wellbore integrity. Encapsulation protects the shale form exposure to water that tends to destabilize the shale. ADVANTAGES: Effective in fresh water, salt water, and brine-based drilling fluids. Effective in small concentrations for filtration control. Is stable at temperatures up to 300F (149C). Effective in moderate to high pH systems. Does not require a bactericide. Non-toxic. RECOMMENDED TREATMENT: Add 0.5-3.0 lb/bbl (1.43-8.56 kg/m) of OREN PAC L 95 filtration control agent slowly through the hopper. PACKAGING: 25 kg multi wall bags with pe liner palletized wrapped & strapped in 1 MT.
