This is an instructional readme for the installation of Call of Duty World at Wa r: Nazi Zombies ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ First of all,

extract nazi zombies.rar file to the root of your C drive which ha s the path C:\ next, open my computer and go tools > folder options > view tab and then click t he button that says "show hidden files and folders" Now if your using windows xp browse to: C:\Documents and Settings\WINDOWS_USERNA ME_ HERE\Local Settings\Application Data If your using vista browse to: C:\Users\WINDOWS_USERNAME_HERE\AppData\Local\ Once there copy the Activision folder into that folder ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ Now right click on settings.reg and click edit DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK THIS FILE it should open up in notepad also open the file rzr-c5kg.exe in the settings.reg file at the following line: "codkey"="KEY HERE" replace the part that says KEY HERE with the key given by the .exe file, make sure you get r id of any spaces in the key, but the keep the quote marks now save and overwrite the settings.reg file ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ now right click on the settings.reg file and this time click merge you should now be ready to play nazi zombies so browse to C:\nazi zombies\ and d ouble click CoDWaW.exe when it runs you might get the following pop-up saying: "Your computer appears to have changed since the last time you ran Call of Duty: World at War. Would you like the game to configure itself optimally for your new hardware? This is recommended for most people. It will change your system settings but not your controls." if this happens click yes or you might also get a popup seeing a file is missing and this will usually be called so,ething similar to "d3dx9_37.dll" if this appears, close the game and download directx 9c which can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/ details.aspx?familyid=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en IF IT DOESNT LAUCNH TRY THESE SUGGESTIONS: VISTA Control Panel -> Sound and right click your main sound device (e.g. 'speakers') and go to Properties -> Advanced then select '24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)' apply this change and then try running the game XP Control Panel -> Phone and Modem Options -> Modems tab. and now remove any modem s you see in the list these will be restored each time you power on your machine so you may need to d o this often ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~ lastly, a word of warning, this will only support the zombie maps, any attempt t o play the campaign or "switch to multiplayer lobby" will make the game crash fo rcing you to restart the game ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ have fun :D
