New Leno Healds for Delicate Fabrics Given an increased demand for delicate fabrics, GROB has designed a new leno heald for riderless heald frames. The new execution utilizes lifting healds made of a single piece of tempered strip steel with 0.20 mm thickness. This facilitates an increased working area for leno weaving because there are no welded end loops. The design provides for densities of up to 7 leno healds per leno heald frame centimetre and is applicable for warp yarns with Ttex 60 and lighter.

New Design Software for Leno Fabrics In cooperation with the EAT GmbH "The DesignScope Company" of D-47906 Kemten/Germany, GROB has initialized the enhancement of the design software. With this software, the desired leno construction can be sketched, illustrated in three dimensions, and the pattern programmed into the machine shedding motion.
