Maharashtra Arbiter Seminar

Venue: Solapur Dates: 6th to 8th November, 2013.

Jointly Organised By: Rama Jagdish Mahila Utkarsha Bahuddeshiya Sanstha & Solapur Chess Academy with the Co-Operation 0f Solapur District Chess Association Attention: As per FIDEs new regulations, it is Mandatory for the Organisers
conducting any FIDE Rating Chess events is to ensure that the Arbiters working with them for the said tournament are Tilted Arbiters and they have Licensed Arbiters registered with FIDE. We are receiving enormous requests from parents, presently acting arbiters and players (above 21 years) to conduct Seminar explaining FIDE rules and the Decision based on these rules. In Maharashtra the total number of active International Arbiters, FIDE Arbiters and Senior Arbiters are very less. But, as per the new regulations of FIDE, it is mandatory for all FIDE Arbiter title seekers to attend the Arbiters Seminar conducted by the FIDE and to pass the exam. Also, as per the new regulations of FIDE, it is mandatory for all Senior Arbiter title seekers to attend the Arbiters exam conducted by the AICF and to pass the exam. Considering these facts and to encourage and promote new entrants in the field of arbitration the MCA will be Awarding Maharashtra Arbiters Title for the participant the successful candidates in this three-day seminar and Arbiters exam conducted by the MCA. These arbiters are allowed to work in Maharashtra as Assistant Arbiter. After completion of four tournaments the concerned person may opt for Senior Arbiter Exams or the Chief Arbiter will recommend the concerned person to go for Senior Arbiter Exam. This system will facilitate new entrant in this field of Arbitration an easier step. Anybody who is interested having basic knowledge about the chess is eligible for the Seminar. At the end of Seminar one examination will be conducted to test the knowledge of the participants. The total 50% marks are required to pass this examination. Additional such courses will be conducted by affiliated District Chess Association on behalf of Maharashtra Chess Association with consultation to Hon. Secretary, Maharashtra Chess Association and Chairman, Arbiter Committee. (Probable places are Mumbai, Pune, Jalgaon / Aurangabad, Sangli etc.) Salient Features: 1. Arbiter training will be given to enthusiast as per syllabus which enlighten on basic and advance topics. 2. The material if required will be explained in Marathi language in short.

3. Limited seats (from Solapur 8 and from nearby area 7 [accommodation to these nearby area participants will be free]). 4. The material will be provided to each participant. (Contains copy of present laws, case studies, pen, notebook, carrying folder, 10 pairing cards). 5. Topics will be explained by International Arbiter and FIDE Arbiter. 6. Free Lunch, high tea and afternoon tea. 7. On successful completion of course (minimum 70% marks), the list will displayed on MCA site. The participants will be awarded with Maharashtra Arbiter Certificate. 8. They will act in Maharashtra as Assistant Arbiter. Eligibility: Age above 21 years, able to read & write English, entry form must be certified by respective district chess association, affiliated to Maharashtra Chess Association.
