Note Garment is made from top down in one piece. Special Stitches Used Shell: ([Dc, ch 1] 4 times, dc) in indicated st or space. Back Post Single Crochet (BPsc): Insert hook from back to front to back again around the post of next st, yarn over, draw yarn through st, yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook. Cluster: *Yarn over, insert hook in next st yarn over, draw yarn through st, yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook; repeat from * 5 more times, yarn over, draw yarn through 7 loops on hook, ch 1. Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog): Insert hook in next st, yarn over, draw yarn through st, insert hook in next st, yarn over, draw yarn through st, yarn over, draw yarn through 3 loops on hook.

Button Band Row 1: With right side facing, with medium hook, join B with slip st in top left-hand corner of left front edge, ch 1, sc evenly across to bottom edge, turn. Buttonhole Band Row 1: With right side facing, join B with slip st in bottom right-hand corner of right front, ch 1, sc evenly across to neck edge, turn. Row 2: Mark 3 evenly-spaced buttonhole positions on edge of Yoke as pictured, ch 1, sc in each sc across, working (ch 1, skip next sc) at each marker, turn. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st and space across. Fasten off. Flower (make 1 for Sweater) With smallest hook and B, leaving at least 6 (15 cm) yarn tail, ch 2. Round 1: Work 10 sc in top loop only of 2nd ch from hook, join with a slip st in first sc, cinch yarn tail to secure the ring and secure10 sc. Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join with a slip st in first sc20 sc. Round 3: Ch 1, Working behind sts in Round 2, *BPsc around the post of sc in Round 1, ch 2; repeat from * around, join with a slip st in first sc10 ch-2 spaces.

Round 4: Slip st in first ch-2 space, ch 1, *(sc, hdc, dc, 3 tr) in ch-2 space, ch 3, slip st in 3rd ch from hook for picot, (3 tr, dc, hdc, sc]) in next ch-2 space; repeat from * around, join with a slip st in first sc5 petals. Fasten off B.

Finishing With yarn needle, attach Flower as shown in photo. Weave in ends. With sewing needle and thread, sew buttons to left front opposite buttonholes.

HEADBAND

Row 1: With medium hook and A, ch 4, do not skip a stitch, slip st in back loop of each ch across, turn4 slip sts. Row 2: (Do not ch 1 at beginning of slip st rows) Slip st in back loop of each st across, turn4 sts. Repeat Row 2 until Headband measures 14 (15, 15) (35.5 [38, 38] cm). Fasten off, leaving a sewing length. Note: Headband will stretch up to 4 (10 cm) more. With yarn needle, sew the last row to foundation ch. Weave in ends.

Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 2 (3, 4) sc, hdc in each of next 3 (4, 5) hdc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, hdc in each of next 3 (4, 5) hdc, sc in each of next 2 (3, 4) sc, join with a slip st in first sc20 (24, 28) sts. Round 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 3 (4, 5) sc, hdc in each of next 3 (4, 5) hdc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, hdc in each of next 3 (4, 5) hdc, sc in each of next 2 (3, 4) sc, with A, slip st to first sc24 (28, 32) sts. Fasten off B.

Flower Work same as Sweater Flower. Finishing With yarn needle, sew Flower to Headband over seam as pictured. Weave in ends.

Sides Round 1: With A, ch 1, working in back loops only, sc around, slip st to first sc 24 (28, 32) sc. Round 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around 24 (28, 32) sc. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each of first 14 (16, 18) sc, cluster over next 6 sts, sc in each of next 4 (6, 8) sc, with B, join with a slip st in first sc19 (23, 27) sts. Fasten off A. Round 4: With B, ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sc, [sc2tog over next 2 sts] twice, sc in each of next 13 (17, 21) sts, join with slip st in first sc17 (21, 25) sc. Fasten off Strap With B, ch 10, slip st in 5th ch from hook, slip st in each ch across. Fasten off B. Using photo as a guide and yarn needle, attach Strap to top of Bootie. Sew button opposite buttonhole of Strap.
Weave in ends.

Sole With medium hook and B, ch 8 (10, 12). Round 1: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 2 (3, 4) ch, hdc in each of 3 (4, 5) ch, 3 sc in last ch, working across opposite side of foundation ch, hdc in each of next 3 (4, 5) ch, sc in each of next 2 (3, 4) ch, join with slip st in first sc16 (20, 24) sts.
