February 13, 2014 Contracted Position Opening Contract Sexuality Educator/Consultant for Wright County Public Health Wright County Public Health is seeking a part-time contracted Sexuality Educator/Consultant responsible for designing and delivering human sexuality education to diverse learners, with a special focus on males. Select job duties include: Deliver high quality, science-based sexuality education programs to diverse audiences. Build new partnerships and sustain current professional relationships that meet the educational needs of targeted groups and promote the agency mission and the goals of the Family Planning Program. Use a variety of modalities (web research, professional reading and training) to stay current regarding sexuality education topics, state, and national trends related to sexuality and social issues related to unintended pregnancy and STI prevention. Design culturally sensitive, age-appropriate, medically accurate content on a variety of human sexuality topics including but not limited to contraception, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS prevention, puberty and adolescent development, sexual decision making, relationships and effective communication around issues of human sexuality. Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in community health, public health education, school health education, health promotion, human service or related area or 2-5 years of equivalent experience; Experience teaching and working with diverse groups; Knowledge of and ability to proficiently use a variety of technology and software programs; Background check required for employment. This part-time position will require occasional evening and weekend hours with more hours required during the school year and fewer during the summer. Contract is negotiable from .3 FTE to .5 FTE depending on availability and skills. Travel required within Wright County.
