Complaint Description
Description I received a letter from Mr. Timothy McCormack's office to immediately cease and desist using an image on my website that alledgedly belongs to gettyimages and to pay the sum of $1628 to avaoid further escalation. The said image was provided to me by Firespring, the company that created my website. The first letter I received from gettyimages was last year and I immediately contacted Firespring. I was told to ignore the letter because it was a scam, and to ignore any subsequent letters I may receive. Last year, in my good graces, I had the image removed from my website even though there was no guilt on my part. When I received Mr. Timothy McCormack's letter I immediately contacted Firespring and they sent me links that proved the image on my website belonged to istock, not gettyimages. I contacted Mr.McCormack's office via email with this information and I was told the evidence was unfounded and I still needed to pay. Mr. McCormack is nothing but a slimeball preying on the innocent public just to line his own pockets. Expected resolution details: Drop allegations
