Materials: Booties pictured were made with a worsted weight yarn and hook size F. Booties are approximately 3 inches in length. For larger booties, change hook size or yarn weight. Sole Pattern: Create two soles as follows: R1: Ch 11, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next 7 ch, 6 hdc in end ch, working on opposite side, hdc in next 7 sts, 5 hdc in last ch, join with sl st in first hdc. R2: ch 1, hdc in same st and in next 7 sts, 2 hdc in each of next 5 hdc, hdc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in next 5 sts, join with sl st in first hdc. R3: ch 1 , hdc in same st and in next 7 sts, *2 hdc in 1 st, 1hdc* repeat * to * 5 times, hdc in next 8 sts, repeat * to * five time, join with sl st in first hdc. DO NOT fasten off.

Upper R1: sc evenly all around .

R2 and 3: ch 1, sc in same st and in each st, join with a sl st. R4: ch 1, sc in the same st and in the next 5 st, 1 hdc, dc dec seven times, 1 hdc in the next st, sc in each of the remaining 24 st, sl st in beg ch R5: ch1, sc in the same st and in the next 5 st, 1 hdc, dc dec joining the next 2, dc dec joining the next three, dc dec joining the next 2, 1 hdc, sc over the next 15 sc, sc dec once, sc in each of the last 7 st, sl st into beg ch R6: ch1, sc in the same st and in the next 2 st, ch 7, skip 11 st, sc into next ch and to the end, sl st into beg ch R7: ch 1, 1 hdc into same st and into the next 2 spaces, hdc in the next 7 st of the ch-7 from the previous row, hdc over the remaining st., slip st to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Crochet Shamrock: With Embroidery Floss and size C hook: Create two as follows: 1. Create a slip stitch and sc, ch1 4 times into the slip stitch, join. 2. Begin work in the space created by the ch1 of the first row. Work each of the four leaves in the spaces created by the ch1 of the previous round. For each leaf: ch1, tr1, dc1, tr1, ch2. slip stitch into sc from first row to end the leaf. sl into space created by ch1 from first row to start the next leaf. 3. Stem: ch 5, sc 4 starting in second ch from hook, working your way back up the stem toward the leaves, join with a sl st. Fasten off, leaving a long enough tail with which you will attach the shamrock to the booties.
