Nation wide policies Specific ministry to address women issues Ministry of Women, Family and community Development (MWFCD) mostly promote gender sensitivity particularly in health, education and finance: include gender budgeting National Water Vision towards 2020 - will conserve and manage its water resources to ensure adequate and safe water for all (including the environment)

Nation wide policies National Women Policy 2009 - ensure equitable sharing of resources and development opportunities between men and women and to integrate women into all sectors of development in accordance with their capabilities and needs. Policy on 30% women in making decision in corporate sector (5 years ending 2016) - slow implementation in private. Civil service is 32.2% - 93 women in board listed companies (8.4%) * - Malaysian cabinet is 12.23 %
