On the installation of SGT-800 x 4 gas turbines utilsiing PCS7. Santos provided the personnel to install and commission the balance of plant, skids, piping and static equipment, Gas Turbine expertise and the DCS PCS7 controls system and thereafter provide O & M reliability and warranty services.

GE Oil &Gas Obi Obi, Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Santos Engineering are currently working on the major Gas Plant at Obi Obi which is based in Port Harcourt. General Electric - Nuovo Pignones client is NAOC Agip, owners of the Gas Plant. We currently have a number of Engineers working on the redevelopment of GE Controls systems on GE Frame 5001 turbines and ancillary compressors.

General Electric & Shell Warri, Nigeria.

Santos Engineering are working with General Electric Nuovo Pignone on Shell Oil new projects and refurbishments for the redevelopment of Oil Stations in the Delta region. These Oil Stations (platforms) are based at Escravos and Odidi and all the machinery is being stripped down and rebuilt to a workable standard. The accommodation is based at the Ogonovo estate (old Halliburton camp residence).

After the redevelopment of the Stations there will be a maintenance agreement whereby Santos Engineering will have an Operations and Maintenance group on site for the next three (3) years. They will be backed up by our local partner for the supply of logistics, indigenous training and local materials. We have a team of eleven engineers consisting of Controls, Mechanical and Field Service engineers and technicians together with Team Leaders based in Warri and they in turn manage local employees covering the redevelopment of these stations. We are working closely with GE Oil & Gas and have bid for a number of other projects in the area, which should come into operation at the latter part of 2003. These include Project Management Services with Shell and also Training Services in the Bayelsa State.

Blue Circle / Lafarge

Santos Engineering has worked extensively with Blue Circle (Lafarge) throughout Nigeria. We have built new cement production plants at Ewekoro (2nd half 2001 and 1st half 2002 respectively). Santos Engineering has helped Blue Circle Cement build a Cement Unloading Terminal (including a Stacker Reclaimer) at Port Harcourt. Santos Engineering has worked at Ashaka Cement, which a dry process works in northeast Nigeria. It is currently undergoing a major capital investment programme over the next few years to increase cement production to up to 1million tonnes per annum.
