School: SCOALA GIMNAZIALA BREZOAIA-BREZOAELE Teacher: Ghita Alexandra Date: The 12th of March 2014 Grade: 4th grade Level: Beginners Number of students: 18 Lesson: In the jungle Time allowed: 50 minutes Type of lesson: Vocabulary teaching Approach: communicative Aims: use English language to communicate orally and in writing about animals living in the jungle develop productive and reproductive skills: speaking, writing, listening, reading introduce new vocabulary Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to: use the words in different context use the words in sentences of their own make the difference between singular and plural nouns use can/cant in order to make up sentences

Materials used: worksheets, video-projector, stickers of different colors, textbook, students notebook Activities: warmers, games, various exercises, grammar exercises Skills: writing, speaking, reading, listening

Evaluation: Students will be evaluated based on the participation in classroom discursions Types of interaction: Teacher-whole class Teacher- Student Student-Teacher Classroom interactions: individual work, pair and group work.

Teacher starts reading the exercise number 2 from the lesson In the jungle and after that she asks students if there are new words which they dont know. She writes on the blackboard the new words. Then teacher asks students to read the text aloud and in this time to make a list of the animals they mention. After that teacher asks students to resolve exercises 3. Teacher will give some explanations about the use of singular and plural. Teacher will ask students to use colored pencils in order to spot the difference between singular and plural. Teacher asks students to solve ex. number 5. Teacher explains them how to complete the text. Teacher invites students to come to the blackboard.
