TEACHING PRACTICE I

SELF-REFLECTION, BASED ON SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF GOOD TEACHING PRACTICE

Professor, Elmer Jorge Guardado, Mat.

JOS OSMAR CORTEZ CORTEZ, TEC.

2014

My name is Osmar Cortez. Today I going to talk about how to develop some methodologies and uses of them in the importance in our Teaching Practice and how I am planning to design it, I am challenging but here I go. It is good to go back and see what you have done correct or incorrect and the approach you used it in order to performed an action and reflect on it, to solve future problem so in that way let do it this brief self and mingle reflection mention in some theories. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION

Self- reflection about the principles of good teaching practice.

1- In a chart, using the concepts of of the PRINCIPLES OF GOOD TEACHING PRACTICE describe and explain what and how you will deveplop each principles in your TP taking in account the previous Teaching Eperience that you have. 2- Explain how you are going to design your TP based on the approaches, methodology, methods, strategies and techniques that it will be defined your teaching style.

3- In your teaching design include IT or how to teach English on-line. Define e-learning and blended learning. I will tell you know how and why we as a teacher need to reflect on the activities , how I did the Student Social Service (SSS) if you read it mine you might noticed that it was not good performing beacause in did not use the knoledges needing in the education before to go to school teaching-learning try on in. I noticed that I need to handle approaches,(how to attain the goals) methodology,(involves, what and how I going to performE the activities and get the iams) method, strategy and technique(what we performe the activities into the classrooms following the previous planning). We as teachers need character to improve the processes about our own ways to teach the different aspects of philosophy, performing arts in class suh as; those who never change the quality of their speeches especially for those students who are bored immediately when teachers come up into the classroom, this one of my proposal to write this brief chart share and mix my experience with the theory and recognise my error and get away from them through the next chances that the life is giving me, knowing that exist principles that we must to apply where we were

infront of the class is benefits because changed my expectation about my students and even more give me the odds to be prophecy if I want to transmit and received knowlwdges no only tell the students memorize verbs in English but also discussing why and how to do it, these are details explaining and discussing through the lines for approvements or disapprovements, I will emmerse in the process but now let see it what we are going to create and recreate mean while we read. Firstly; definition of seven principles of good teaching practice, concepts, explanation of each of them, what we think it can be development and how. Secondly; definition of approaches, methodology, method, strategy, and technique and how it does it works based on different theories vision. And lastly; we are going to design and define how to teach English on-line, e-learning and how to blended it.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF GOOD TEACHING PRACTICE PRINCIPLES CONCEPTS Involve studentfaculty, contact in and out of the class and enhance students commitments ecourages them to think about their own values and plans. EXPLANATION It is concerns to the faculty to interact to their students even though they dont be in this it is such to keep infrom of them about the all activities that its make ir oreder to motivate the intellecuals thinking, and their own values and plans making process of his/her students joyless. WHAT It is up to the relationshi p that faculty create with the students it involves; teachersstudents and the know-how according to the categories of be a good rapport. HOW TO DEVELOP Through all kinds of tools that offer the new technologies such as; social networks, using the the Internet to do that, Iphones, phones and different types of divices useful to communicate aeasily and fast.

Good practice encourages interaction between students and faculty.

Good practice encourages interaction and collaboration between students.

Learning is enhanced when a team make an effort than a solo race, it is collaborative not individually, sharing ideas, talks, discussions, different points of view, and deepens understanding . (Ehrmann., 2014)

Based on the information that got it, the teachers and students must to callaborate each others beacause the teacher ignored something that sometimes the students handle easy and more convenient.

-Be challengin g with students to catch from themselves the solution -asking questions and solves trrough the discussion -look for those who are correct and clarify those who are wrong. In modern times people want to learn English language for different reasons and pupuses especially those who are intersted to handle in a properly ways.

Again here when the students live far away after the class use the technology but carefully with notable purpusal in order to provide students lead an opportunity to create and recreate and let them practice their knowledges interacting with others. Consciously or unconciously language change the culture of any country, science created technologies, people learn how to use it, and how it does work to benefit the world. In this ways children have advantages over the rest adults because they were born with the technology era.

Good practice use active learning tachniques

The students must be engages on the subject by using different techniques like e-learning or how to learn on-line, mix or blended the way

We know that there are different ways how to learn a target language but whoever wants to do it have to be concious that nobody learn all being sitting infront of teachers the know-how it is getting through different experiencies, our dayli lives are involve on in.

Good practice emphasizes time on task.

Knowledges and competencies two major reason to define your learning what you know and dont know in the ways to be confident to yourselves.

The teacher has to prompting feedback, as soon as possible we make it and effectively it was, going to be the tremendous of understanding and probably one of the most important process of the TeachingLearning advatages.

-Timing, -Patient and consistenc y are those figuratve approache s useful when you get the opportunit y to design a task

Do not complicate be easily and enjoyable but not simplify the students process putting on a tasks difficult sitation be simplify the language gives them a clue or feedback if it necessary to do that even they are on a task.

Knowing what you know and do not know focusses your learning.

Good practice gives prompt feedback

There is not fool question relative with students learning process because we might think or say that the teacher spend the time trying to transmit their knoledges and the students are not able to memorizing it, other wise try to discuss it, in order to clarify them with the class.

Easy going teacher must be in order to show his/her practice or well educated and be responsibl e what types of responses he/she is given to he class.

Trhough gestures, facial movements, signs and behave I meant character according to how the inveronment has been created for itself or the kinds of he/she gets in classes.

Motivate them being a model for your students it involves different aspects of your own personality like for example how you walk, seat, work, speak, share, smiles, dress how you performing the things. Many roads There are Different There are lots lead to multiples ways activities remarkables learning, how to learn and the ways how to different exist different students children, students bring syles of doing it, make and young, and different but we as when they adults develop talents and proffessionals performin their abilities Good practice styles to must discover by g an action nevertheless respect college. ourselve, how try they do in each of them diversitytalents, Studnets need it on observe the different presenting experiencies opportunity to ineraction of the ways how differencies and ways of sow their students. we know between others learning. talents and easy and even learn in ways through behaviours the that work for the teachers have them or abservatio to allows pushed to n. him/her learn in a new capable to ways no easy. dealing with. Definitions and how design Teaching performing based on the useful tools that the new technologies and teachers approach bring us or ways how to do that. Approach. Methodology. Method. Strategy. and

The thing is that we might encourages our students to do more that we requires from them if we requires from them a homework we have expect and not think that they just make up only that we said them to do.

Assignmen ts are good examples but let them to be creatives let them to surprise us.

Technique. Approach; is a set of correlative assumptions (expectations) dealing with the nature of language teaching and learning. An approach is axiomatic. It describes the nature of the subject matter to be taught Methodology; is defined as a system which comprises the principles, practices and procedures which are applied to a specific branch of knowledge. It refers to the way in which information is found or the way something is done. And includes the methods, techniques and procedures which are used to collect and analyze information. It is a term that can be used to describe the analysis of principles of rules and methods employed by a discipline. (ask.com, 2014) Method; is an overall plan for the orderly presentation of language material, no part of which contradicts, and all of which is based upon, the selected approach. An approach is axiomatic (goes without saying), a method is procedural (practical). Within one approach, there can be many methods. Strategy; strategy is the direction and scope or possibility of an organization over the long-term: which achieves advantage for the organization through its configuration of resources within a challenging environment, to meet the needs of markets and to fulfill stakeholder expectations". (Riley, 2012) Technique; is implementation, that which actually takes place in a classroom. It is a particular trick (habit), strategem, or contrivance used to accomplish an immediate objective. Technique must be consistent with a method and therefore in harmony with an approach as well. (Anthony, 2010)

An important question and suggestion before we go ahead. Is the language statics or does it change through the times? Based on the book of Michael Lewis, the language is many things; a habit, a skill, a system, a means of communication, but above all it is a dynamics integrated whole. If teaching chops the language up into small pieces, what is being taught is no longer really language. (Lewis, 1986) The meaning of this is to determinate that the factors involving in the English Teaching and Learning processes does no like to be divided, at contrary it is join it put the words together and shout them as one sound in a natural way, going on in at the beginning with beginners level of language is good to taking in account to use both native and the target language in order to create new atmosphere so it means that we have to implementing in class Direct Method because it is convenient and effective to take in consideration the design the TP classes but this is the unit there aremorebut it vary upping to the types of intelligencies that you have discovered in classes. The design of TP, it is vital in learning academic

process it facilitates a better learning not only for students but also for teachers. For instance; listen and observe to the students behave, keep on eyes contact using the teacher ability in order to get a diagnostics firsrly war-up are usful, teachers have to manage the RAPPORT skill. In the Tenth and Eleventh grades of the Hight School in El Salvador from MINED program, it suggested to the teachers as good approaches that they must to follow the communictive approach. In order to shape in the students the competencies requiered in this level, which are; Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, those are basic skills that the teachers must to development in and out the class. Methodological functions of the language it has to be introduce to the students not as subject but, yes as it is, as a language to promote the students challenging to handle and produce it, in the same way, as they acquired the native language, interacting with the rest of the class in which it involving the Direct Method where the studdents and teachers make question in the target language and gives responses in the same way but, how you do that which strategy you have to use for, there are many but I going to use the focus group through exchanging point of views not matter if we get mistakes but we are familiarizing with the target language, express ideas controlled by the facilitator, in this one it is appropriated to participate 6-12 persons only, then I will apply the discussion technique. before I finish, I will facilitate them to be in touch with tecnologies, once they are familiariazed with them of course, as they and I have learnt how it does it work, stablish a communication it functions and working on it, as helpful tools implement in the Teaching-Learning process, includes technology applications and processes such as audio or video call, outpost television, multimedia, then share with the class what they have learnt It means exposure the most time on the language practice and production of it. How to teach English on-line? It is up to the technologies are presented to the students as good or difficult to handle, it comes to benefit the learning process or to complicate it? So in that way it going to succed your expectation, we have expect more since the beginning till the end capture the attention through how we can use the technology in a properly manner, performing this in class develop the active learning technique as Confucious said I heard, and I forget, I see, and I remember, I do, and I understand it reflected on my mind an idea it is, we have to come together or create many environments of English practice show and use the language with different people and individualy person as well. Define e-learning and blended learning, distance education learning it the exactly word to define an e-learning because he/she must to used in a strict way the technolgy for make an academic interaction with his/her tutors in order to clarify some doubts, by the others hand we get blended learning which is applied for people who are get into a formal academic programming students have to mix the technology with face to face to conventionalise or accommodate his/her schedules part of the time infront of the class and others part be online in order to get a data collection or computer activities.
