Quality of Fingerprint Identification System Instead of Using Matric Card or Student ID We commonly knew that the matric card are used wisely by university students in Malaysia and even at oversea. Nowadays, these matric cards are used for multi-purpose. This matric cards are applied to various purposes. For example, to enter the library, students are required to touch the matric card at the scanning machine located at the entrance. As evidence of the presence, the university has also been using the same method and place the scanned machine in front of the classroom. The use of scanning this matric card shows a systematic method. However, there are many shortcomings and disadvantages of this card. Among them, students often run into problems with their card where the chip is not be able to function properly when touched on the scanned machine. The probability of this existing card suffering from damage such as broken and damaged due to heavy water or others is high. In addition, students also facing the probabilities to lose their card because of attrition or omission. Upon the happening of the loss or damage to the card, the new card must be replaced or made to renew it. Here we can see where a lot of cost is used when using this card. Imagine, every time a new student in the initial session, the university had to invest a lot of money for the making of this card. Unfortunately, when students have graduated from that university, the card has become unusable.

Below is the purpose or some introduction of automated fingerprint identification system : Automated fingerprint identification is the process of automatically matching one or many unknown fingerprints against a database of known and unknown prints. Automated fingerprint identification systems are primarily used by law enforcement agencies for criminal identification initiatives, the most important of which include identifying a person suspected of committing a crime or linking a suspect to other unsolved crimes. Automated fingerprint verification is a closely related technique used in applications such as attendance and access control systems. On a technical level, verification systems verify a claimed identity (a user might claim to be John by presenting his PIN or ID card and verify his identity using his fingerprint), whereas identification systems determine identity based solely on fingerprints. With greater frequency in recent years, automated fingerprint identification systems have been used in large scale civil identification projects. The chief purpose of a civil fingerprint identifications system is to prevent multiple enrollments in an electoral, welfare, driver licensing, or similar system. Another benefit of a civil fingerprint identifications system is its use in background checks for job applicants for highly sensitive posts and educational personnel who have close contact with children. The U.S. Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System holds all fingerprint sets collected in the country, and is managed by the FBI. Many states also have their own AFIS. AFIS have capabilities such as latent searching, electronic image storage, and electronic exchange of fingerprints and responses. Many other entities, including Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Israel, Pakistan, Argentina, Turkey, Morocco, Italy, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Australia, Denmark, the International Criminal Police Organization, and various states, provinces, and local administrative regions have their own systems, which are used for a variety of purposes, including criminal identification, applicant background checks, receipt of benefits, and receipt of credentials (such as passports). With the use of this system, it is not just only convenient but also saves the money. Furthermore, the problems faced by students are resolved by applying this high quality system. In addition, if this system can be applied in the entire university of Malaysia and the country

itself, it will show that Malaysia as one of the developing countries in the world and have the best quality in academic facilities.
