Each day in companies around the world, millions of Microsoft Excel worksheets are being maintained, formulas edited, and analysis paths updated all by hand. With constantly increasing amounts of data, this is cumbersome and prone to error. Due to this, users working only with Excel are quickly confronted with its limitations in the face of their planning, analysis and reporting needs. Furthermore, with Jedox Mobile for iOS and Android, users can conveniently access the reports they have created in Excel or in Jedox Web on their mobile devices. Jedox File Manager: Jedox File Manager allows business users to manage and organize spreadsheets and other related content in a secure, used-based administrative environment. Jedox File Manager provides individual data storage areas for each Jedox application and user, allowing the source les and related information, such as PDF, text, or images, to be integrated quickly and easily into a Jedox application. Jedox Report Manager: The Report Manager allows users to eciently access all content that is being managed in the Jedox File Manager. To do so, hierarchical report folders can be created at will. Jedox Mobile App

Installing the free app is a snap with Jedox Mobile: After downloading the Jedox Mobile app from the corresponding app store, all that is required is to connect to a Jedox server running the Mobile Connector. Users will now have access to the same data cubes and compiled reports as available on the desktop, and be able to use the Mobile Apps Dashboard Builder to generate new reports particularly quickly and display them in real time. Multidimensional data structure

Traditional relational databases organize data into tables, data items and elds, while the data modeling in the OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing) server exists in the form of cubes, dimensions and elements. With the multidimensional model used by the Jedox OLAP Server, data crucial for decision-making can be viewed from a number of dierent perspectives (slice and dice, rotate). Transform
After data extraction the required transformation steps are mapped to transforms with the following possible actions: normalize, aggregate, join, lter and sort. The ETL component takes care of the fully automatic and schedulable import and export of large volumes of data, allowing it to exibly adapt to the requirements of the daily reality of business users. Data from heterogeneous sources is extracted, and master and variable data is transformed and mapped to Jedox models. Jedox ETL is a client-server based application, which means that the modeling of ETL processes takes place in a user-friendly web interface. Furthermore, the ETL tool can also be easily integrated into other applications with the SOAP-based (Simple Object Access Protocol) web service interface. Hence, no programming is required and business users can independently congure all processes this is what we call self-service data integration at Jedox!

Loading
With the Loads function, data that has been successfully extracted and transformed is written to the target system. For the creation of dimensions, a variety of modes are available that manage the updating of elements and consolidation as needed. Dimensions and data cubes are created through the optimal utilization of the interface at an exceedingly high level of performance, such that cubes with more than a billion cells can also be loaded into the target system. Furthermore, Jedox ETL supports the highly-ecient direct drill through feature; a form of vertical search during which the physical data source can be swapped in order to make more detailed data available. After the ETL modeling has concluded, Jedox can automatically generate project documentation that contains not only descriptions, but also process diagrams.

Extraction
Data queries on source systems are dened in so-called extracts by the Jedox ETL solution. The integrated ETL component interfaces with all popular relational database systems, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, and links up to them via a well-established JDBC interface. Furthermore, users can extract additional data from at les, XML les, web services and LDAP systems.

Uplink to SAP BW
With SAPs standard tools, the creation of exible planning applications based on SAP Business Warehouse can be tedious and time-consuming. Jedox SAP Connector includes a BW business content option, allowing for convenient and rapid extraction of SAP BW data to Jedox. Whether extracting BW InfoObjects including attributes and texts, or multiple timeand version-dependent hierarchies into a Jedox OLAP dimension, with our BW business content option, users can work quickly and in a targeted manner. Additionally, mass data can be extracted both from the Data Warehouse layer by linking up to SAP Data Store Objects (DSO), or as SAP Infocubes. This allows users of the Jedox SAP Connector to independently improve their SAP BW environment via exible planning processes (SelfService BI).

Easy construction of hierarchies

The most complicated part of an ETL process for OLAP models is often the correct handling of the master data complex hierarchies with multiple levels, consolidations and attributes. In both Jedox ETL and Jedox SAP Connector, this process has been optimized, and they are able to reconstruct analysis-based hierarchies. Furthermore, the business content for SAP also makes it possible to directly load prot center hierarchies from SAP ERP or InfoObject hierarchies from SAP BW without having to directly load transformations into Jedox. Custom settings, such as writing to multiple hierarchies or data cleansing, are also possible.

Add-on for Jedox ETL

Jedox SAP Connector is an add-on for Jedox ETL, the standard tool for the extraction, transformation and loading of large volumes of external, disparate data sources. Jedox ETL oers a wide array of transformation options, such as the ability to enrich SAP data with non-SAP data. In this manner, the relational model of the source system is eciently mapped to an OLAP model.

In-GPU memory
Modern GPU modules consist of thousands of processor cores, and it is particularly in complex and parallelizable computing tasks that they demonstrate a marked performance advantage over CPUs. Parallel processing signicantly increases the speed at which data access and analysis can be carried out, especially when it comes to calculations involving consolidated cells in OLAP data cubes. In order to minimize time-consuming data transfers from the main memory to the GPU, Jedox capitalizes on innovative in-GPU memory technology; the Jedox OLAP Accelerator stores the cubes cell data entirely in the GPU memory, such that only queries and results need to be transferred between the CPU and the GPU. For the user, this means that applications run signicantly faster, and important data is provided instantly. Additionally, multiple GPUs can be utilized at the same time for even shorter query times and to provide even more GPU storage for especially large data cubes.

Jedox OLAP Accelerator
