Established in 1980, S. Mehboob & Company is a firm of consultants specialising
in Engineering Disciplines, Management Consultancy, Software Development
Marketing and Building Services.
The firm is the sole proprietorship of Mr. Farooq Mehboob, a practicing professional
engineer with over 47 years experience.
The company has over 500 projects to its credit and is one of the most well reputed
consulting firms in Pakistan. With a team of dedicated professionals at its core, the

U.A.E.


This 25 storey 320 feet tall Office Tower is being constructed in the
prestigious Diplomatic area of Bahrain and will comprise of the new
Head office of the Trust Insurance Company in Bahrain. This 175,000
sft. Building comprises of over 60 Modern Office units along with
Health club, Pool and recreations spaces.

SMC have provided Full Service MEP design of this skyscraper with
a 630 TR Central Chilled Water plant and a 3000 KVA power
distribution network. The noteworthy features of design were Central

The Mirdif School located in

Currently under design this 41 storey Residential & Commercial
Tower is being constructed in the prestigious & up market area of
Jumeirah just off Sheikh Zayed Road. Part of a community of 65
towers conceived by Nakheel this real estate is being developed to
very high finishes as well as engineering standards. The tower
overlooks a lake and comprises of over 300 luxury apartments in
Singlex and Duplex configurations. The building has Centrally Air-
conditioned Apartments, Indoor Swimming Pools, Recreation spaces

SMC are providing Full Service MEP design of this nearly half a
million square feet, 480 feet high skyscraper with a 2500 TR Central
Chilled Water plant and a 9 MVA power distribution network involving
6 No.s 2500 A Busbar Rising Mains. The building design is required
to get approval from multiple authorities including DEWA, Dubai
Municipality, Nakheel, JAFZA, Etisalat and Civil Defence. The

INFRASTRUCTURE & MASTER PLANNING

District Cooling System for Aga Khan University, Karachi

The Aga Khan University
spread over 84 acres is
Pakistan's leading Health
care facility and Medical
University. Built in 1984 the
University did not have
adequate provisions for the
addition of large numbers of
New Buildings on Campus.
In the next ten years the
additional buildings are likely
to exceed 1,000,000 square
feet of Constructed Area.

SMC were commissioned to review and plan for future expansion of the Campus. SMC has designed Pakistan's
first district cooling system using direct burial factory insulated ABS piping with take off stations for future buildings.
At the head end the Central Plant has been hydraulically decoupled and provisions made for modular increase in
plant capacity from the existing 2700 TR to 9600 TR by 2009 by the addition of New Chiller Plant, condensor water
and Cooling Tower systems. SMC is also providing services for establishing capacity enhancements in respect of
other MEP Services.
