M"# $D% is a versatile material t at ma-es it easy to build strong, sturdy and affordable furniture! =t is advisable to always glue t e parts toget er wit wood glue before fastening t em wit nails or screws! =f t e nails or screws do not provide enoug strengt , use clamps to old t e assembly toget er w ile t e glue dries! Scre$ fastening% Always drill pilot oles using a countersin- bit, wit t e pieces in t eir final assembled position! T is will prevent t e $D% from buc-ling or splitting under t e tor.ue of t e screws! =n one motion, t e countersin- bit bores a ole for t e body of t e screw as well as a cavity to conceal t e screw ead! +ou can use a driver-drill to do t is, but it is advisable to finis tig tening t e screws wit a manual screwdriver to prevent t e driver-drill#s speed and force from damaging t e $D% and wea-ening t e screw#s grip!
