Dear Reader: This letter is to inform you of a survey administration error that occurred in Vail Mountain School and Vail Ski & Snowboard Academy. Students at these schools participated in an online administration of the HKCS, and should have been instructed to enter a unique ID number to ensure that each student was only surveyed once. During the administration process, these instructions were not shared with students, and unique IDs were not entered for any students at these schools. Because of this, we were unable to apply some of our standard data checking and cleaning protocols to all of these HKCS results. All HKCS results were reviewed to remove obvious duplicate responses, however there was not a way to ensure that each survey from these schools represents a unique student. We alert you to this error so that you may share this limitation whenever the data and/or report is shared with others. Should you have any questions on this issue or your reports in general, please feel free to contact me directly.
Sincerely, Chandra Winder, Project Manager Manager II 303-839-9422 x167 cwinder@omni.org OMNI Institute
