This summer the Mana Quartet returns to Chestertown, MD for their annual residency Serving Sizesat the National Music Festival from June 1-14. Mana welcomes saxophonists of all ages to participate in this two week intensive course. During this exciting event, Mana will offer private instruction and a series of seminars where they will share their experience and skill with participants. In addition, all participants will have the opportunity to perform in quartets, saxophone orchestra and may be able to perform alongside other orchestral musicians. In these ensemble rehearsals, some of the most important aspects of music making (style, intonation, tonal variation, musical interaction) will be thoroughly examined. Participants will:
Perform in a saxophone orchestra Perform in small chamber ensembles Perform in masterclasses Receive private lessons and coachings from the Mana Quartet Attend seminars on a variety of topics Have an all access pass to ALL NMF concerts and events Integrate and perform with orchestral musicians Have housing provided Hear many featured performances given by the Mana Quartet Have lots of fun! Come join us for two weeks of chamber music in historic Chestertown at the ONLY Saxophone Workshop that takes place within an orchestral festival!
