The Product: The product name is Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey. They have a simple wrap to their containers but it does not gain enough attention to place them in front of other similar products. They have a great product that is better than the other choices most have. There can be multiple things done to help it to stand out better. Perhaps its the focus on its contents and how much better it is over other products, or perhaps its a design that will draw attention to those who have a real reason to use it. I have multiple ideas that I will begin brainstorming over but I know that what I come up with in the end will help this company to stand out from others and to increase their sales in this particular product. Target Market: The important thing to recognize first is the target market. If narrowed down, that will help with the creative process and making an overall final decision. I have concluded that the target market is towards those who often attend the gym and have desires to be healthier, more fit, and perhaps those who wish to bulk up. Brief History: The history of this company shows that they have been around for 28 years but have not changed their product design. They are universally known as the worlds best-selling whey protein but their design has not been following with the times. Big Idea: To advertise the new design will be simple. Most already know about the product but it will be easy to advertise it more those who enter gyms. Placing posters and flyers and handing out samples of the products at multiple gyms and nutrition stores will help to spread awareness of the new design. I want to design something that stands out more, keeping the colors and boldness in the fonts for each different word but perhaps putting a silhouette of muscles or something to that extent.

Serpentine Helvetica Neue


Logos and taglines on the package will be in Abel with the font sizing to suit the package and placement but not as large as the headline. The headline will be in Serpentine Bold-Oblique. Other copy such as for ingredients and nutritional facts should be written in Helvetica Neue.

Marion Bold Marion
The body copy should be Marion regular when used and be between 10-14 pts. For headings and titles, Marion Bold will be used in a larger font size.

Logos
This logo has mainly been and always will be what it is, black on the main packages. This logo will be placed on every container and package in the bottom right hand corner. For packages contained within the main package not intended for indiviual sale, the red logo will placed in the same area. The logo will be used in nearly all forms of print. The logo size will be determined and dependent on the package size and shape.
