SUMMARY
IP and Resistivity geophysical surveys, centered over a small lake on Claim 04202823 in Cairo township,
Ontario, were conducted by Quantec Geoscience during April 4 to Arpil 9, 2009. The objective of the sur-
veys was to determine if large gold-bearing sulphide mineralized boulders, located at the south end of the
lake by previous prospecting, may have originated from a bedrock source underlying the lake. The sur-
veys have successfully delineated apparent Resistivity and Chargeability underlying the lake and imme-
diate shoreline, investigating to depths up to 100 meters. The surveys have not detected chargeability
anomalies of sufficient magnitude and extent to conclude that a substantive bedrock source of the bould-
ers is present underlying the lake or shoreline margin.

Objectives:
Previous prospecting on claim 04202823 had located large, angular boulders, hosting
gold bearing disseminated sulphide mineralization of interest, close to the outlet stream
at the south end of a small lake located on the claim. The primary objective of the geo-
physical survey was to determine if the boulders may have originated from a potential
bedrock hosted zone of metallic sulphide mineralization located underlying the lake.

3.8 DATA PRESENTATION
Digital Data:
Raw data:
The measured data were transferred from the Elrec-Pro and Elrec-6 instruments to
notebook computer using Prosys II software provided by IRIS Instruments.
Elrec-Pro instrument dump files are in binary file format. Un-edited daily instrument
dump files are archived, named according to the date of acquisition in the form
ddmmyy, e.g. 050409IP.bin. Daily dump files were edited, using Prosys II, to correct
any errors in electrode location if required. The edited data are archived to a
second file named according to date, e.g. 050409IPed.bin. The data were then im-
ported to the Geosoft

Oasis montaj

processing and mapping system.

Elrec-6 dump files are in ASCII text format. Unedited dump files are archive, named
according to date, e.g. 080509.raw. Corrections to electrode locations were made
using a text editor, if required and the edited file archived named according to date
e.g. 080509.dmp, and the data imported to Geosoft Oasis.
Processed data:
Measurements with excessive standard deviation (> 1 mV/V) were rejected and re-
peat measurements averaged using the Geosoft

Oasis montaj

IP extension.
The complete data set are archived in Geosoft

Oasis montaj

.gdb format Data-

base files as follows:
File CairoIP.gdb: Gradient array results for East-West survey lines
File CairoNS.gdb: Gradient array results for North-South survey lines.
File CairoDPDP.gdb: Dipole-dipole array results.
Maps:
The results of the gradient array surveys are presented as plan maps of the posted
and contoured Apparent Total Chargeability and Apparent Resistivity, at a scale of
1:2500, for each of the East-West and North-South sets of survey lines. A stacked
pseudosection map presents the Chargeability and Resistivity results of the dipole-
dipole array survey results, at a scale of 1:1250. The maps are provided in Oasis
.map file format, as well as Adobe

.pdf file format.

Paper copies of the section maps are included in the map pocket.
Archive:
The data and maps are archived in digital form, as described above, on CD, pro-
vided in the CD pocket.

4. DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
The IP/Resistivity surveys over Claim 04202823 were completed without incident.
Access to the survey location was excellent via local roads. The lake over which the survey was
centered is located 300 meters west of the road which leads north from Highway 66 to Mata-
chewan Native Reserve 72. Highway 66 is a distance of approximately 3 km to the south. The
town of Matachewan is a further 5 km west following highway 66.
An unexpected winter storm, which resulted in approximately 40 cm of snowfall overnight April
3, and through April 4, hampered progress of the field work initially.
The IP/Resistivity surveys have quantified apparent, bulk volume average DC resistivity and
chargeability at the Cairo township property.
The bulk volume resistivity is primarily influenced by subsurface variations in porosity, permea-
bility and moisture saturation. Significant concentrations of interconnected conductive minerali-
zation, such as massive sulphides, if present, also influence the bulk volume resistivity.
The chargeability is a near-direct indicator of the presence of metallic mineralization, based on
the polarize-ability of minerals that possess metallic properties. These include most metallic
sulphides, with the notable exception of sphalerite, those native metals that occur naturally, as
well as some metallic oxides, and graphite. Both conductivity and chargeability result from the
mobility of electrons within metals. However, whereas electronic conduction occurs within met-
als, polarization occurs at the interfaces between metallic grains and pore fluids. For this rea-
son, not only the volume content, but also the distribution and texture of chargeable mineraliza-
tion within host rocks are important factors influencing bulk volume chargeability.
4.1 GRADIENT ARRAY RESULTS
The Gradient electrode array employs a single, fixed transmit dipole. The specifications em-
ployed for the surveys typically provide investigation to depths up to approximately 100 meters
overall. However, the depth of investigation is reduced, according to the separation distance be-
tween the transmit and receive electrodes, where selected lines, 100S, 0N and 50E extended
closer to the corresponding transmit electrodes. The gradient array provides excellent resolution
of contrasts in the resistivity and chargeability across the survey lines, but is not sensitive to
contrasts which may follow trends near parallel to the survey lines. The fixed transmit dipole
does not provide multiple separation measurements, therefore resolution of the resistivity and
chargeability with respect to depth is limited.
The apparent Resistivity determined by the Gradient array surveys ranges from approximately
700 to 14,000 -m, which are moderate to very high. The majority of values are in the range
from approximately 1,500 to 6,000 -m, within the lower half of the resistivity range. The majori-
ty of lower resistivity values within the range also coincide with the area overlain by the lake.
Higher resistivities occur predominantly to the north and west of the lake. The results of the East
West set of survey lines have delineated a zone of lower resistivity trending north south,
centered at 50E. The feature is not evident in the results of the North - South set of survey lines,
which is consistent with the directional sensitivity of the array.
The apparent total Chargeability results from the Gradient surveys range from approximately 3
to 10 mV/V, which are low. The spatial distribution of the chargeability reflects that of the resis-
tivity, that is, higher chargeability values coincide with higher resistivity values.

IP/Resistivity Surveys Claim 04202823
CA00645C, April, 2009
12
4.2 DIPOLE-DIPOLE ARRAY RESULTS
The dipole-dipole electrode array specifications employed for the traverse over line 50S pro-
vides investigation to depths up to approximately 50 meters, with measurements over 10 sepa-
rations providing resolution of the resistivity and chargeability with respect to depth. The appar-
ent Resistivity results over line 50S range from approximately 40 to almost 10,000 -m, which
are low to high. The chargeability results range from -0.8 to 7.7 mV/V, which are low to very low.
The higher chargeability values generally coincide with higher resistivity values.
Low to moderate resistivity extends from station 112.5W to 87.5E, which coincides with the ex-
tent of the lake underlying line 50S. Low resistivity, less than 100 -m, occurs at small separa-
tions, n = 1 and n= 2 within this region, delineating a layer of low resistivity at surface of a few to
several meters thickness. The layer is clearly thicker centered at 50E, and to a lesser extent at
50W. The corresponding chargeability values are very low.
Both the resistivity and chargeability magnitudes increase to the east and west of the lake,
where both the thickness and moisture saturation of overburden are drastically reduced

5. CONCLUSIONS
The IP and Resistivity geophysical surveys centered over a small lake on Claim 04202823, in
Cairo township, Ontario, have successfully delineated apparent Resistivity and Chargeability
underlying the lake and immediate shoreline, investigating to depths up to 100 meters. Gradient
arrays have provided delineation of the geophysical properties in plan view, while a traverse
employing the dipole-dipole array has added resolution of the geophysical properties with re-
spect to depth over the selected traverse.
Both the resistivity and chargeability are lower within the region overlain by the lake, consistent
with the attenuating influence of non-chargeable, low resistivity overburden, comprised of the
lake and underlying sediments. A north-south trending zone of low resistivity has been deli-
neated centered at 50E over a width approximately 25 meters. The feature definitely reflects
deeper overburden within a bedrock trough at this location. There is no chargeability anomaly
associated with the low resistivity feature, nor have anomalous chargeable zones of sufficient
magnitude and extent been detected that would indicate a substantive zone of sulphide minera-
lization may be hosted elsewhere in the bedrock underlying the lake, or shoreline margins.

APPENDIX C
THEORETICAL BASIS AND SURVEY PROCEDURES
INDUCED POLARIZATION SURVEY
The resistivity is among the most variable of all geophysical parameters, with a range exceeding 10
6
.
Because most minerals are fundamentally insulators, with the exception of massive accumulations of metallic
and sub metallic ores (electronic conductors) which are rare occurrences, the resistivity of rocks depends
primarily on their porosity , permeability and particularly the salinity of fluids contained (ionic conduction), ac-
cording to Archies Law. In contrast, the chargeability responds to the presence of polarizeable minerals
(metals, sub metallic sulphides and oxides, and graphite), in amounts as minute as parts per hundred. Both
the quantity of individual chargeable grains present, and their distribution with in subsurface current flow paths
are significant in controlling the level of response. The relationship of chargeability to metallic content is
straightforward, and the influence of mineral distribution can be understood in geologic terms by considering
two similar, hypothetical volumes of rock in which fractures constitute the primary current flow paths. In one,
sulphides occur predominantly along fracture surfaces. In the second , the same volume percent of sulphides
are disseminated throughout the rock. The second example will, in general, have significantly lower intrinsic
chargeability.
The collected data sets are reduced to apparent resistivity and total chargeability as explained in the following
figures and equations.

APPENDIX D - INSTRUMENT SPECIFICATIONS

ELREC PRO
Ten channel
IP receiver
for mineral
exploration
IRIS Instruments is pleased
to announce the ELREC PRO,
its new ten channel I P receiver,
featuring 20 chargeability windows
and a graphic LCD display.
The following improvements
have been introduced in this new
recei ver with respect
to the previous ELREC 10 unit:
HARDWARE FEATURES:
the size has been reduced by 4 em in height: 31x 21 x 21 em
- the power consumption has been reduced by a ratio of three, which means that with less
batteries it is possible to have a longer autonomy.
- as a result , the new system is 2 kg lightertllan tile ELREC 10, with a weight of 6 kg onl y.
- the data (21 000 readings max.) are stored in flash memories not requiring any lithium battery for
safeguard.
- the new system is compatible with the existing SWITCH Plus boxes for automatic switching of
electrooes according to preset sequences. In such a case, the recei ver is used as a single
channel unit; witll SWITCH Pro boxes (to be deveioped next), the full ten channel capability of
tile ELREC PRO will be usable for a higher acquistion speed.
SOFTWARE FEATURES:
- each new reading is stored as a specific unit file, making easier the grouping of readings
corresponding to a given profile, sped ally for the last (edge) pOints of a line obtained with a smaller
number of dipoles than the main part of the profile.
- the data format is compatible with the PROSYS software, which means that the operator can
easil y visualize the numerical values of the data, automatically sort them according to the standard
deviation of the chargeabil ity measurement, merge two files stored under different names,
introduce the elevation of earn electrode, etc ..
- the ELECTRE II software can be used to define and upload preset sequences of measurements
according to any type of electrode array.
