Course description:
Target

After having completed this training the participants shall:


- Understand the basic theories behind Atlas Copcos rig system.
- Be able to adjust and set up the machine right both mechanical and system
settings.
- Understand function and design of the other systems on the rig.
- The participants shall also be able to carry out fault-finding, with the faultfinding aids provided.

Lessons led by a teacher and self studies of theoretical parts mixed with practical
exercises on a training system.

During drilling explain the following:


- Why the idling damper pressure must be 40 bars
- What pressures we should see during collaring and
full drilling. (rotation, feed, damper and the relation
between)
- Drilling, what happens and why, review all manual
steps / functions
- Air flushing
- Change drill bit
Let the students perform above, all students drill at
least 1 hole each.
Under supervision by teacher, students continue to drill
and install bolts until the students manage themselves.
