Statement of Purpose

For a successful career in the field that fascinates you the most, it is very essential to be a great intellect. Being a person who always tends to follow this passion, I was always awestruck by how necessities work in daily life. Be it making coffee or where the gas coming from an aerated drink bottle, etc. I always spent time in understanding the procedure completely. Being a quick thinker and a shrewd analyst of situations that come across in my day to day life, engineering was meant to be my cup of tea.

Having completed my schooling with 80% and a full score in mathematics, I am always keen in solving problems and felt there wouldnt be a much better platform than engineering to showcase my skills. Eventually, I took up MPC stream (mathematics, physics and chemistry as majors) in my 11th and 12th grades and cracked the toughest competitive exam in our state. With smart planning and Hardwork, I was one of the top 3% meritorious students who secured top rank in the undergraduate entrance exam which gave me an opportunity to pursue CHEMICAL ENGINEERING in the best college of the state Chaitanya Bharathi Institute Of Technology. I still remember the day when I was in one of the science fests where I was fascinated by how chemicals react to give different colors or how some are said to be heavy or lighter or even reactive for that matter, even though I didnt have much clue about it then. But the inquisitiveness drove me to pursue one of the toughest streams in engineering. Having the excellent motivators around in my college who are best in the business helped me a lot in taking the right steps at the right time which is an added advantage in itself by boosting my leadership qualities. The experience of studying in this college helped me by leaps and bounds. Having organized CHEM SPARK which is our national level annual departmental fest helped me improve my organizational skills. I always love to lead a team and I got this opportunity by leading our department cricket team. We were also introduced to new technologies like CHEM CAD and MAT LAB where I could learn the importance of innovation. After having presented papers in Osmania University I realized the importance of research and presentation. The hunger to learn more was driving me to push myself and eventually improve my traits. As a part of our curriculum, I even got an opportunity to visit pharmaceutical companies like NILE and PIRAMAL. These intern opportunities gave me an insight of all the basic process in Chemical Engineering like DISTILLATION, SOLVENT, EXTRACTION, FILTRATION, PASTEURIZING, PACKAGING etc. It was also a very important experience as I could understand my basic concepts a lot better. The one week industrial training programs at CMET and HYCHEM was a worthwhile experience in itself where I could learn more about SOLVENT EXTRACTION and SEPARATION and application of concepts like HEAT TRANSFER, MASS TRANSFER, CHEMICAL REACTION ENGINEERING, TRANSPORT PHENOMENA and SAFETY HAZARD ANALYSIS. This practical experience made me realize the importance of research and how practical problems can be solved if I can know more about the subject.

The final year project on MANUFACTURE OF VINEGAR has helped me to know a lot about research and the subjects practical applications. The process shows how the fruit juice is fermented into ethanol and the formed ethanol further oxidizes into acetic acid . In the whole process, I got a very good opportunity to know how different unit operations like cutter, roll crusher, rvdf by using processes like Fermentation, Oxidation, Pasteurization. My association with global giants like RGBSI and Regal Belloit, our client, has exposed me to the world of chemical engineers from a global perspective. Now that I know the impact of us chemical engineers in the wider arena, I want to pursue deeper into the field and explore the field that I am so passionate about.

As research is a best form of understanding depth of the subject, at this moment I am confident of my abilities, competence and dedication in reaching my goal. I am fully convinced that my potential will be groomed into a well-designed capacity to produce research of high quality, so I would like to pursue my Masters program in your prestigious university which will enhance my learning abilities and make me a complete engineer. I would also reaffirm my commitment to your university and the prospect of studying in your university excites me. Looking forward for a fruitful and a rewarding learning experience.
