You know, in Tantra Shstra there are two wings - one wing of Tantra is called gama and the other wing is known as Nigama. Tantra, you know, there are two interpretations of the term Tantra, it has, two derivatived meanings. One meaning is ~Tam jdyt trayet yastu sah Tantrah parikiirttitah. ~Tanmeans~dullness,~lethargyand~trameansliberator.Thatwhich liberatesyoufromspiritualdullness, spirituallethargyisTantra. Another interpretation of the term Tantra is - ~Tan is a root verb, Samskrta rootverb, itmeans~toexpand.~Trameansliberator, rootverb~trae+ suffix ~da ~tra. ~Tra means liberator; ~trae means ~to liberate. Tantrameansthesciencethathelpsyouinall-roundexpansion,ratherthat helps you in liberation by your all-round expansion. ~Tan means ~to expand. Alittleboy`sbodyalwaysexpands-daily,weekly,monthly.So,thebodyofa man up to the age of 39 is called ~Tanu, in Samskrta, ~tanu means ~expanding. And after 39 the body of a man is called shariira. Shariira means, waning, thatundergoeswanes. There are two wings of Tantra - one is gama and the other Nigama. prefix - root verb gam + al suffix, and ni prefix - root verb gam + al suffix, gama and Nigama. Itissaidthat, gatm shivavaktrebhyah gatam ca Girijshrutao. Matam ca vsudevasya Tasmt ga ma ucyate. gatm Shivavaktrebhyah - it came out from the ~vaktr that is the lips of Shiva, What is the first letter of gatm Shivavaktrebhyah, ~, gatm shivavaktrebhyah and Gatam ca Girijshrutao, Gatam ca Girijshrutao went into the ears of ~Girij, that is Prvatii, Gatam ca Girijshrutao, What is the first letter, ~Ga? , Ga, and Matam ca vsudevasya and it is the view or rather it is the science of Vsudeva. ~Vsudeva mana Krsna. Hence it is , Ga, Ma. Matam ca Vsudevasya, first letter is Ma. , Ga, Ma. Tasmt ga ma ucyate and another portion is Nigama, In gama portion what did happen. Prvatii, the spouse of Shiva was Prvatii, Prvatii placed several questions before Shiva, and Shiva gave the replies? This replies are, these questions are known as ~Nigama. And replies are known as ~ gama. Both are important. Here the question placed before Shiva by Prvatii was, ~Whatistheminimumqualificationforbecomingaspiritualaspirant? SheaskedLordShiva,OhLord!Whataretheminimumqualificationsfora spiritualaspirant? The Shiva's reply was the minimum qualification is that he should have a humanbody.Thismuch. Thequalification, youknowtheseminimumqualification, thischancecanbe availedbyeachandeveryhumanbeing, becauseeachandeveryhumanbeing hasgotahumanbody. Hesays,LordShivasays: tmajinnamidam devi param Moksa eka Sdhanam Oh Devi, Devi means here Prvatii, tmajinnam idam, idam tmajinnam param Moksa eka Sdhanam. Whenever one acquires tmajinnam, that is, whenever one knows, one gets the chance to realize what one is, then what does happen? One acquires Moksa. And, for this purpose, that is, to know ones ~One's Self the minimum qualification is ~Sukrtaer mnavo bhtv. Passing through so many animal lives in the phase of Pratisaincara , when one acquiresahumanbodythenoneiseligibleorwemaysayonehasacquired the minimum qualification of Spiritual Sdhan. Sukrtaer mnavo bhtv jinnii cenmoksampnuyt. ~Mnavo bhutv. I will explain, ~Mnavo bhutv. Now first thing ~Sukrtaer mnavo bhtv. Now in the phase of Pratisaincara , through clashes and cohesions, when one acquires the human frame work, human structure then ~Sukrtaeh, it has beensaid~Sukrtaeh,~Sukrtaehmeans, inoldlanguage, inolderlanguage, ~Sukrtaehmeans~Sakrteaeh, thatispassingthroughsomanyformsofso many animals and so many clashes and so many cohesions, one gets the humanformandthatiswhenonemaybecomeaspiritualaspirantandnot beforethat. Whileoneisinthebodyofananimalonecannotdoanyspiritualpractice. After getting a human body, if one does not utilize that body in spiritual pursuits, oneissurelyafool, becauseheisnotutilizinghispotentialities.Heis notutilizingone`spotentialities. When one becomes jinnii then one attains Moksa. Also, in the first portion it is said, ~tmajinnam and in the last portion also it has been said ~1innii cenmoksampnuyt. ~tmajinnam is 1innam. What is tmajinnam? WhatisSelf-knowledge? WhatisSelf-Realization? Yousee, itisthenaturalwont, youmaysaynaturalwont, ofeachandevery livingbeingtoseeothers, nottoseehimself.Thatis, wheneveronebecomesa Subjectiveentity, onetakesothersasone'sobjectivecounterpart, butnever the self is taken as the Objective counterpart. That is ~Subjectivity never mergeswithObjectivity, andthat'sthetrouble. YouwanttoknowsomanythingsbutyouneverwanttoknowYourself. But Your~selfisyournearestentitybutyouneverwanttoknowyourself. Thatisthepity, thatisthetrouble. ~tmajinnam means a stage of ~Objectlessness. Seeingone`soneSelfwithinoneselfandnotguidinganyCognitiveorPsychic facultytowardsanyobjectivity. YouhavegotsomanyPsychicfaculties. Youhavegotsomanycognitivefaculties, toobutwithout, youalwaystryto goadyourpsychicandcognitivefacultiestootherobjects. But,ifyouwithdrawallyourpsychicpropensitiesandcognitivefacultiesand goad these faculties towards yourself and be at Peace without coming in contact with any Objective world that phase of your mind and spirit; that stance of non-relativity, is tmajinnam. It is the true 1innam because all other knowledges are contaminated by relativity This 1innam, because of its non-dependence on any second objectivity is what? of absolute character and it is tmajinnam. For acquiring this tmajinnam one need not go through volumes of books. One should develop sincere urge to attain this tmajinnam and develop Love for the Supreme. This is the Sdhan. And after Self-realization in this process, one attains Salvation. This is the reply of Shiva. So it is, it may be treated as a portion of gama.
